Not going to say it is fixed, but I will tell you there are going to be a lot of upset fans of Adam that texted in their votes last night that didn't get the confirmation message at all or until very late (like early this afternoon) that will be wondering if the votes were counted. But, then again a lot of those people are ones that were doing the 10 texts at a time trick and it very well may have back fired on them.

I know a few Kris fans who texted their votes and didn't get confirmation until this morning. I think they were just flooded.

Anyone notice Ryan didn't mention how much of a difference there were between the two of them? It might have been really close and they didn't want an uproar.

I also think Simon was in shock. He just sat there and stared when they announced it. Last year he stood up and clapped.

I wonder what the vote was also. Maybe it was really, really close and Ryan knew it would just make Adam fans upset to know it.

I still don't believe this show is fixed either. But I have to say that I really don't understand the results from this season as well as season 2. Clay and Adam were each so far ahead in polls and everything, yet they lost. Clay proved to be the real winner since he sold more albums, and I know Adam will do the same. But I still just don't get it.

That is what I was wondering too. I wonder how close it was compared to the Clay/Ruben season.

I screamed so loud when they announced the winner I scared my kids. And now my throat is sore. I just can't believe it. I really REALLY thought Adam had this.

I hope both of them get to work with some good song writers (NOT Kara!!). That is going to make all the difference on their debut albums.

I don't think Kara is a bad songwriter. She has worked with big names and is on liner notes of a lot of good songs. Just that song wasn't so good.

Ok, so I see my DD9 is taking this pretty well comparitively. She said "That stinks. But maybe Adam will be able to be on my shows now instead of David Archuleta." I don't have the heart to tell her that Adam will never appear on iCarly or Hannah Montana.

Really? I didn't notice. I know that DA was the judge's favorite last year, but I definitely think Simon started coming around on DC and thought he deserved the win.

I guess he really wasn't that big a fan of Kris and had to start being nice since there was a chance he would win?

You have to remember that it isn't about how many fans you have, it is about how many times your fans vote. Different demographics vote differently.

Kara is far from a bad songwriter. She did an interview with USA Today and it makes perfect sense why this song was chosen. Yes it was bad but they don't know how it will sell, they save the good songs for the artists who can sell the songs. They need to earn their money somehow.

I have to admit I love my Disney channel shows and I'm with your DD on having Adam on Hannah Montana.

Not what I wanted but I'm very happy for Kris. They all seemed to be having a ton of fun out there tonight. If I may, when he sang with Adam and Queen it really highlighted (to me) how much of a superior performer/singer Adam is. At least I'll console myself with the knowledge that, like Daughtry, Adam can do HIS music now and not lame stuff like "No Boundaries".

I will likely buy Kris's album too. He IS a good singer and a great guy!

ITA. I really like some ofthe songs she has written. She did mention co-writers for this one so maybe they can be blamed

I am totally shocked that Kris won but dd was so excited. Good for him, and Adam too, I'm sure they will both end up with great careers in music.

But season 2 moreso, I remember seeing 99 Clay fans to every 1 Ruben fan here as well as other message boards!

That's the one year I was wrong about who won. I was so sure that Clay was going to win.

Not that I wanted him to win -- but you think FOX could have rigged the votes because he's gay? It's a possibility, because he seemed sooooo overwhelmingly popular. That's the MAIN reason he won't be on HM or iCarly, because that will cause a stir.

I'm the same way. I liked Kris, but Adam is far superior. I would most likely buy both of their albums. But I would much more likely go to an Adam concert than a Kris concert.
