Not what I wanted but I'm very happy for Kris. They all seemed to be having a ton of fun out there tonight. If I may, when he sang with Adam and Queen it really highlighted (to me) how much of a superior performer/singer Adam is. At least I'll console myself with the knowledge that, like Daughtry, Adam can do HIS music now and not lame stuff like "No Boundaries".

I will likely buy Kris's album too. He IS a good singer and a great guy!

I am disappointed too. I feel like the year that Daughtry lost and Taylor won. Oh well. At least Adam can go on to do the things he wants to do. I think just like Daughtry he will have amazing success.

I think Kris was splitting votes with several contestants - Matt Giruad, Danny Goekey, maybe Anoop and Scott.. and once they were each voted out, Kris gained votes from their fanbase. I think Adam only gained votes from Allison's fanbase. It doesn't mean that Adam isn't a fantastic singer with tremendous talent. Unfortunately, Kris's style of music is more contemporary and followed more than Adam's right now, so he probably picked up a lot of votes from people that don't spend time on the internet on AI websites and threads (the thought! )

Believe me, Adam looked happy to take second because he will have MUCH more creative control over his debut album!

Not that I wanted him to win -- but you think FOX could have rigged the votes because he's gay? It's a possibility, because he seemed sooooo overwhelmingly popular. That's the MAIN reason he won't be on HM or iCarly, because that will cause a stir.

I don't think they had to rig it. IMO Adam lost because he was gay. I don't want to be flamed or anything, and I am not gay myself, but I think that some people (and I am not talking about the people here AT ALL) have a prejudice that limits their ability to see beyond the black eyeliner and stuff on a guy and actually listen to his voice. Many people can do it, but I believe there are still many people that won't.

I know a few Kris fans who texted their votes and didn't get confirmation until this morning. I think they were just flooded.

Central time zone here - I voted for Kris and didn't get my confirmation until noon today. On our local Fox news tonight, they stated that AT&T stated in a press release that confirmations were not sent until later due to the high volume of voting.

I'm sure there are a LOT of people who voted against him because of it. Gay rights are a huge issue around the country now. I don't want to turn this into a political thread so I'll just say I don't get it. Anyway, I really am looking forward to see what they both do. I WILL NOT be listening to Kris' first single, but I'd love to see what else he does. I'm just looking forward to Adam's stuff more, and he's the only one I'd actually want to see live. His duet with Kiss was AWESOME, and he outshone all the other contestants on the Queen performance! Awesome!

To me I am pretty confidant that he didn't lose because he was gay. It was that he wasn't mainstream enough for everyone.

At least for me, someone's sexuality would never come into play on a talent competition like this.

Good for Kris. I liked them both. I was glad but completely shocked that Kris won.

I think Adam is in a league all his own. He is one of the most entertaining contestants that has ever been on the show in my opinion. I thought he was fantastic. He will definitely be a star - actually he already is. He's probably already been signed by a record label!!!

Best season ever for me!!!
