I'm actually not upset, I kind of knew this was coming and decided to prep for it. I totally love Adam but I don't hate Kris, he's okay and a really nice guy. I think he'll do fine.

As for my boy, he's going to be a SUPERSTAR!!

I knew it was coming too and was prepping myself, but it still doesn't make it any easier. I want tomorrow to come already so I can move on and forget about it. And then I can look forward to Adam's first cd, which will not include this craptastic song!

Oh my gosh, the noise in the living room tonight was deafening!! My mom and I loved the old music that was being sung/played, and that piece with Steve Martin was PRICELESS! (even though I couldn't stand that woman's voice)

What a wonderful show, and I was happy to see that I had actually voted for the winner for a change!

Aww, my little sister is crying up a storm. She really wanted Adam to win.

My dd7 screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and then started crying.
And yes, I let her stay up til 10 on a school night.

No way in hell Chris is better than Adam...it simply isn't true. The popular vote won, but definetly not the better performer/entertainer. It seems it's better to be the runner-up rather than the winner (think Daughtry). Danny was better than Chris so it seems his good looks and boyish charm won over America. How disappointing, but oh well I'm still here at Disney and look forward to more rain until we leave on Saturday, YAY! What an awful week here and now this

Yay for Kris. What a sweet guy. I can't wait for all the great albums this season's contestants are putting out. Also for all the talk shows this week. Allison and Adam looked so cute.

So, anyone still saying Idol is fixed?

I wonder how close the vote was. I was fully expecting Ryan to say that it was the closest vote ever considering what I was seeing on dialidol.

Not going to say it is fixed, but I will tell you there are going to be a lot of upset fans of Adam that texted in their votes last night that didn't get the confirmation message at all or until very late (like early this afternoon) that will be wondering if the votes were counted. But, then again a lot of those people are ones that were doing the 10 texts at a time trick and it very well may have back fired on them.

I wonder what the vote was also. Maybe it was really, really close and Ryan knew it would just make Adam fans upset to know it.

I actually don't think Adam would want to be part of Queen. He wants to start something new, not be a part of something old.

I texted for Kris and gave up a half hour in cause of no confirmation and I got mine this morning.

IIt just doesn't make sense to me that he's ahead in all the polls, sells more songs on itunes then any other contestant combined, and still loses.

It's happened before. Like with Clay and Ruben - Ruben won, but Clay outsold him by a mile. Adam outsold Kris by a lot with the iTunes singles... he was #1 on the charts, beating established artists! I really do think they'll both do well, but in completely different arenas. Most of my friends LOVED Adam, and they're all into rock, both classic and new. The few friends who liked Kris are into NSync and David Archuletta so.... fan bases aren't exactly gonna mix in the real world I do think Kris will do well, but Adam's going to be a STAR. I'm taping all the interviews coming up... as horrible as it is, I can still see Adam getting more attention on the press junket.

I know. But like I said I get way too attached to this show. I know it doesn't matter in the long run, but I really believe Adam deserved to win.

It just doesn't make sense to me that he's ahead in all the polls, sells more songs on itunes then any other contestant combined, and still loses.

I think Kris was splitting votes with several contestants - Matt Giruad, Danny Goekey, maybe Anoop and Scott.. and once they were each voted out, Kris gained votes from their fanbase. I think Adam only gained votes from Allison's fanbase. It doesn't mean that Adam isn't a fantastic singer with tremendous talent. Unfortunately, Kris's style of music is more contemporary and followed more than Adam's right now, so he probably picked up a lot of votes from people that don't spend time on the internet on AI websites and threads (the thought! )

Believe me, Adam looked happy to take second because he will have MUCH more creative control over his debut album!

So I love both Adam and Kris and although I really thought Adam was going to win I am happy for Kris. I do have to say though that as far as duets went tonight Adam with KISS totally showed up Kris with Keith Urban. Congrats for Kris.

I am very happy Kris won. Good for him!! I still think Danny should have won. He has a great voice!!! When he sang with Lionel it really showed how talented he is.

They should...they just lost Paul Rodgers. Adam would be absolute perfection for that band. Oh, I can only hope!

DD is over the moon happy that Kris won. I, on the other hand, rooted for Adam. Oh well. They are both class acts and both should do well in the music industry. Can't wait to what is next for Adam.

That is what I was wondering too. I wonder how close it was compared to the Clay/Ruben season.

I screamed so loud when they announced the winner I scared my kids. And now my throat is sore. I just can't believe it. I really REALLY thought Adam had this.

I hope both of them get to work with some good song writers (NOT Kara!!). That is going to make all the difference on their debut albums.
