He really does have a comedy demo that he is peddling. It's not a rumor. Even Kathy Griffin said he gave her one. She wouldn't comment on it, but her face showed that she wasn't impressed at all. If you remember at the beginning of the season he did some crazy character.



I must be the only person on the board that thinks Melinda CAN'T sing. I hate watching her facial expressions and her stiff body movements. I think she seems like a truly nice person, so I don't dislike her. I just don't like watching or listening to her sing. I admit that I was totally shocked that she left though. I thought for sure she was going to win it. I thought DD14 was going to cry if Blake left. She was screaming and jumping around the living room when they said he was staying. So, next week should be fun. I want Jordin and she wants Blake. We'll be battling it out with our cell phones, lol.


Oh yeah, I have to say that I liked Elliot's soing, but the teeth were just TOO perfect. I couldn't stop staring at them. And why wouldn't he open his eyes?????????? It annoyed me.

i mentioned this just a minute ago, but i'll do it again. Kathy Griffin has been known to be a liar and start and spread rumors, so i rarely believe anything that comes out of her mouth. while she's funny and entertaining, she's not one to believe when it comes to anything she talks about to the press.

i think Elliott just want too crazy with the whitening of his teeth. because if they had just been straightened, but not ELECTRIC WHITE they would probably look better.

Bicker, I have said that about Melinda almost from the beginning. She has been out there, she's been a background singer. If anyone thought she had potential to sell music they would have signed her. (Mariah Carey was a background singer and they saw her potentail and made her a star for example.) Melinda has a good voice, but she has forgettable presense. I don't remember any of her songs at all, yet I remember Jordin and Blake and Lakisha and Chris Richardson. Heck I even remember Sanjaya.

i pretty much agree with this. i don't really remember anything that she sang. it has nothing to do with how she "looks" or what she "Wore" it has to do with how she sang. i don't remember ever being "WOWed" by her.

See this is what bothers me.

Why aren't you saying this about Jordin? She is a professional to. Possibly more than Melinda. She has an album, she has been on tour twice with another singer, she has appeared in plays in Tennessee. The list goes on. She knows people, why didn't her album take off? We'll see but if she keeps hitting the clunkers she has and only singing one type of song I'm not sure how far her career will go either. I know I won't be buying any but will buy Melinda's and possibly Blakes.

Does anyone know what happened to their bands after their big break? Do they get to tour with their bands? or do they have to use some industry professionals? Just curious...

i heard that Taylor's band followed him around on the Idol tour. Chris got a whole new band. that would suck to have been in his old band and then all of a sudden he won and went "nope......i don't need you anymore"

I am pretty sure that it has been posted here, but I wasn't sure if you knew it or not: Elliott's teeth were fixed for him for free by a doctor! He did it all for free. I agree with the other posters that have said the teeth look too perfect, though. They just don't look right to me.
I have always been a fan of Elliott and his voice. However, last night I was a bit disappointed. His hair bothered me; it was a bit too long. It bothered me that he would not open his eyes. I don't know why he has started that. Maybe his hair is in his eyes. His teeth were too perfect and white also. His voice and song were still great to me, though. (I know that you disagree Dan.)

i know he got it done for free, but it was estimated at $50,000. that's why i said if i had the $50,000 i'd get mine done perfect, too. or if a dentist wants to do it for free...hey......have at it!

I know that the "Taylor Hicks Band" renamed themselves the Little Memphis Blues Orchestra and got some great exposure last summer following the AI tour around, to some extent. They were booked for gigs in the same town on the same night as an AI show, starting at the end of the AI show. They hosted a "special guest" (guess who?) several times as well as Elliot Yamin and I think maybe even Ace and Bucky.

They did stick together and cash in from their big daddy's success

I think maybe 2 of the guys are in Taylor's touring band right now (he has a KILLER band right now, I'm not even kidding, they are amazing.)

there's footage around youtube somewhere of his band singing with him, Bucky, and Ace. it's hilarious and they all sound good together, surprisingly.....because at least to me, i wouldn't think those 3 together would actually sound good.....but they did.

I have NEVER bought an AI singers' CD ...thats right NEVER...

None of the music has been close enough to my genre that I enjoy...Sure, I'll jam out to Kelly Clarkson's "Since you've been gone" if its on the radio.
I guess I'm more into bands/alternative/emo stuff??? Fountains of Wayne, Ben Folds, Ben Kweller, Amy Winehouse etc.... I guess I listen to stuff that doesn't get a lot of radio spins....

i bought last season's American Idol cd.....but......that's just because of Ace lol. you're right, none of them have ever sang any kind of music i would like.

The only problem with that is basically every amateur can put out an album. Getting into a recording studio, recording your songs and promoting them on the internet is pretty much every day stuff now.

The fact that you didn't know she has an album out kind of reinforces the idea that she *is* an undiscovered talent. Anyone can put an album out- you don't even have to be good. Whether it gets airplay, and whether it's just local airplay as opposed to national airplay and many other things factor into it. I certainly don't think Jordin is a nationally known singer, just because she has put out an album.

Hey- too bad about the Sabres, huh? I'm still proud of the season they had.

yeah we had a good season. i was a bit sad yesterday, but today...i'm fine. they had a great season and made so many fans happy. things happen for a reason......we'll get the cup someday, i'm not really that worried about it.

i am, however, still angry about that tripping by Emery that wasn't called, but whatever.

i've no idea, i'm no help. i've never actually sat and watched a whole finale of Idol. i just started watching last season, and i caught bits and pieces of the finale, and watched the ending. i don't even know what they sang.

i heard that Taylor's band followed him around on the Idol tour. Chris got a whole new band. that would suck to have been in his old band and then all of a sudden he won and went "nope......i don't need you anymore"

I read that they auditioned people for Chris' band and asked his former bandmates to audition but no one made it.
