Gedeon has a terrific voice, talent wise it shoulda been Kevin. Kevin had the Granny vote though

Ok this really rots!!!!!!! Gedeon goes home instead of Kevin!?!?!??! This is an outrage. And Sway being sent home last week instead of Kevin? Come on people. My faves are Chris and Taylor, however I knew they were winners so last night I voted for TWO HOURS for Gedeon, because I knew he needed it. I can NOT believe he's gone and Kevin's still there!!!! I feel horrible for Gedeon.

As for the girls, I think that was the right decision.

It's a major bummer too, because isn't it the Top 12 that get to tour all summer?? I would totally go see this tour. I wanted to go last year too (I really like Scott Savol and Vonzell) but couldn't make it.

I think they made the wrong decision sending Ayla home. I like her voice much better than the raspy voice Melissa has. To each their own, I guess.

i am 100% satisfied with the results tonight, and am excited for the top 12! i love all the guys, and half the girls (just not a fan of lisa & kellie, and katherine gets on my nerves a bit). and truthfully i was sorry to see gideon and will go - i really love the guys this year. i just hope it doesn't turn into last season, where my mantra from the earliest of auditions was "please just don't let that ditzy farmgirl win" (sorry carrie fans - i sure ain't one). if ms. pickler gets the AI crown i'll be gloomy, but if it's anyone else i'll be delighted!

JMHO, but it is definitely time for Will and Kevin to go home. The remaining six guys are all good; I think Taylor is in his own league! Excellent performance last night.

So, for the past couple of weeks I've been wondering, "Who does Kevin remind me of?" : (BTW, the Chicken Little thing was cruel to do to the kid). Anyway, last night it finally hit me. Not only is there a physical resemblance but he SOUNDS like him when he talks: Rudy Giuliani! I'm not kidding! Look:

Go ahead, call me crazy but listen to Kevin when he speaks tonight. And, it's not just because they both have a lisp.

I was thinking he reminded me of Michael Gelman from Regis & Kelly! But yeah, he does look like Giuliani too!

Yeah Ayla can go back to bball!! She has rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning!!! And she looked and sounded so shocked.....buh bye! Didn't anchor mom or big shot dad sway the vote enough? She does have talent but last night's song choice was horrid and I think she has the impression of "never losing".

And what's up with chicken little? He's gotta go next! I didn't like Gideon's attitude but he was much better than Kevin.

I have mixed feelings about Kelly. I think that she does well at times and not so good at others. However, I don't think that she is anywhere as good as Carrie and I question Simon's comment about liking Kelly better. I can't decide if he was trying to help Kelly or hurt her since Carrie apparently has a big fanbase.

I like the group for the most part too. I like the women in general and all of the guys except for Kevin. It's a nice strong group IMO.

I really thought Kelly didn't do so hot the other night. I kept thinking if I was Melissa I would think she is butchering my song. She sounded strained to me....but apparantly I am not S,P or R!

I felt sorry for Gedeon. What a strong young man he is. For a 17 year old who just lost his dad in December, he sure is mature and has such strong religious convictions. He certainly has a wonderful career in front of him though. He has such musicality at that age it is amazing. His phrasing in that song was wonderful, never mind his pipes!!!

I'm sad that Ayla is gone but she wouldn't have lasted much longer.

It was interesting to watch how terrified some of the contestants were. When they panned onto the guys for the second one eliminated, Ace looked like he was going to vomit. He was sitting in Ayla's seat. I would imagine that he was some relieved when Ryan got to him right away. It looks like this group of guys has really bonded. It also looks like Kevin respects these older guys and the feeling is guite mutual.

Next week should be interesting. The theme would have been perfect for Gedeon. We'll see what the others can do with it! It is getting rather overdone though.

It did seem like the guys have bonded more overall with each other than the girls. The girls seemed to each have favorites that they hugged but the men were pretty well a solid "family" when each one got through to the final 12

I do have one question though...

Why oh why did we have to see the Brittenum twins AGAIN?? Why aren't they in jail??

I was very happy with the vote tonight! I was happy to see Gedeon go..couldn't stand him and I didn't think he could sing all that well...!! Now if only Pickler gets voted off I will be most happy!!

I felt bad for both Gedeon and Ayla. But, if not this week, it would've been in the next week or two.

I've got to give props to Ace. He was consoling Paris when Gedeon got the boot. He stood there with his arm around her the whole time. She was sobbing.


edited to add: Bo - my boy. You are too skinny and I can't wait until you get back to being Bo! I didn't really feel that song.

Dialidol got three of the four correct. And they had Ayla ranked 3rd from the bottom so they were very close with her.

I'm fairly satisfied with tonight's results, although I would like to have seen Kevin go before Gedeon. Although I wasn't a big fan of hers, I did feel sorry for Ayla. It would seem to me that she's probably lived a pretty privileged life so far and has not yet suffered any major disappointments so this would come as quite a shock and would be very difficult to deal with especially in front of millions of people.

I like the top 12 overall!

OK, now do you believe that Ayla had passion for this??? She's an awesome kid and an amazing role model, unfortunately the rest of the world won't get the chance to enjoy her for now but just you wait. She is a girl with so much ambition and drive you will see her doing great things in the future. As far as singing goes, even Randy thought she was better than Melissa. She is indeed fortunate that she has so many options ahead of her right now which sadly is more than you can say for most of the top six girls. Why are driven focused people so resented by our society but ditzy "pop tarts" are worshiped! Just as an aside, do you all notice how ditzy and Kellie like Katherine is acting these past two weeks. It seems like she has caught on that the ditzy bit plays "big time" and makes you more likable. What is this world coming to?
