What a let down. I love Bo, but that was not good.

Gedeon got robbed!!!-Boy has pipes and could blow!!-This is a singing contest not a popularity contest and America blew it letting Kevin and Bucky into the top 12----Will was at the bottom of the list but with Gedeon they would have had a solid 12 a real competition of vocal talent!

Unfortunately the "OOOhhhh he's so cute I wanna pinch his checks" mentality went to far---Hopefully America will finally realize that Bucky and Kevin don't have a place in a singing competion and let them go before they really screw things up.

As for the girls the vote was right---Kinnik had way to many mistakes not to take it on the chin and Ayla showed that she can't sing the songs that will make her an Idol---Yes they both can sing in their own way--Kinnik had a wider range than Ayla--And Ayla just wasn't comfortable doing anything outside of ballads

As for who's left--Lisa and Katherine are going to have the same probs as Ayla (pop,hip-hop,r&b) this will be their downfall as the weeks go on---Kellie,well Kellie just needs to go--her voice is raspy,she cant hold her notes and couldn't hit a high note if she got kicked by a cow from her hometown during her performance

I think they made the wrong decision sending Ayla home. I like her voice much better than the raspy voice Melissa has. To each their own, I guess.

Yeah Ayla can go back to bball!! She has rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning!!! And she looked and sounded so shocked.....buh bye! Didn't anchor mom or big shot dad sway the vote enough? She does have talent but last night's song choice was horrid and I think she has the impression of "never losing".

not a thing wrong with that....people on this thread seem to knock people who are confident in themselves....Ayla, Gedeon, Paris....I think its great they are proud of themselves....And I wish them the best....Think of the most successful people in life...they are confident people...

Everything went pretty much how I thought it would go except I thought Kevin would be the one to go. I really feel Gedeon had the better voice.

I hated to see Ayla go....Melissa should have been gone before her...Now I want to see Lisa pick a good song....I think she has the best voice out the females but has yet to prove it....maybe being 16 is hurting her....as for Kevin I just dont get it....Maybe the Lisp makes him sound better....And Ace come on...Shame that its starting to be based on looks....Gedeon was a way better voice than Kevin and Ace and Elliott in my opinion...Taylor is the man and I am pulling for him to win...I have yet to see a Idol tour but will consider it this year just to hear Taylor

I am another person who has never had a spinach salad, calamari and I just tried for salmon for the first time a few months ago. For the record I am soon to be 48 and do not live in the country. I hated the salmon, will never eat it again. I will NEVER eat calamari! And I do not like spinach so why would I eat a salad. I think she is just ditzy in a Jessica Simpson sort of way...(I know someone else mentioned that already)

I have no idea if it's an act or not, but it is a bit annoying that they keep playing that up.

As for not liking confidence..I loved Ayla and her confidence, I am sorry she is gone and Melissa is still there. Paris I just don't think she is all that good. She has done nothing to impress me since her audition. Gedeon, while very talented..just had something that creeped me out. I loved his song this week, he sang his heart out. But it was like Constantine last year...he gave me the willies and I never warmed up to him. BUT I do wish Bucky would have gone bye, bye instead of him.


oh yeah..to the person who compared Ace to Justin from season 1....are you seriously referring to looks? Justin was in no way close to being as good looking as Ace! Justin was yucky. I don't think he got that far on looks...and I hope that the voters don't vote for Ace based on his looks...I like his real voice, the falsetto has to go.

Paris will go. She has pipes but she is not ready. Will he is so Peter Brady adorable I wanted to adopt him! but he was not ready either. He gets huge support from me tho for his gracefull exit.

Ayla. She was deeply hurt but she too is not ready and may never be. She does not have the "it" factor of a star.

Someone give Bucky a shave and a haircut, please.

From one Nancy to another Nancy I said I would never eat a lot of things in my life that I love now. Wait a bit and give Salmon another try. It's delicious when prepared correctly, truly. (although I am with you on the calamari thing. My husband thinks it's fabulous but he is wrong on occassion )

I definitely agree that Gedeon should have stayed and Kevin should be packing to go home, but I have to say I'm really glad Bucky made it. I didn't like him at first, but he has grown on me and I think he is the only one who is truly geniune....well, actually Bucky and Taylor. They are just both who they are and it's refreshing. I really enjoy watching both of them. I don't think Kelli is as shrewd as some people think, but I also don't think she is as sweet and ditzy as other people think either.

I was really shocked to see Ayla go. I never cared for her, she just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason, but I didn't think she'd be leaving for a few more shows at least.

Kinnik was never a favorite, but I thought she left tonight with alot of
grace and style.

Personally I really liked the 1st two seasons of AI better, when they seemed
to get really just average everyday people...who could sing...and gave them a chance they wouldn't get any other way. The more I read about this year's group though, the less "regular" they seem. Becky O'Donahue was on Fear Factor (the twins edition!) Lisa was 2nd runner up on Star Search, Kelli was in the Miss North Carolina pageant, Ace's supposed girlfriend is on a sitcom and got him a small part on one of the episodes, ect...I don't know, I just liked it better when they had true "nobodies" who were really getting their shot.

Just got finished watching the show (darn work!) and I can't say that I'm surprised by any of the results. Personally, I liked both the guys that got booted. I thought Gedeon had one of the top two or three male voices in the competition -- Did you hear him tonight?!?!? He was great (although I can definitely see how his "attitude" lost him the competition). Will just never found a fanbase and didn't really have the support. If you compare Will with Kevin (who probably were grasping for the same audience), I really don't think that it's even close, but Kevin has the "Chicken Little-Oh Isn't He Cute" Factor that the producers are placing on him.

As for the girls, I'm not really disappointed in the least. I haven't thought Ayla was good and Kinnik should've been gone last week. I'd say the the female vote was right.

While I think this is a strong top 12, I don't have anyone that I'm really behind at this point. I strongly like Katharine, Mandisa, and Taylor, and like Elliot and Chris, but my loyalty isn't with any one person.

And, darn Vote for the Worst! I went with Lisa to go based on their tallies. I was only 3 for 4 on the booted ones tonight!

I disagree for the with vote for the guys. I think Kevin should've got the boot not Gideon.

I think the vftw caused this cause they were voting for kevin and if they voted correctly gideon would still be here.

I don't know if VFTW actually has enough power to keep Kevin in there. If Idol is honest about how many votes they get, it would seem like VFTW is just a drop in the bucket. But who knows?

Mandisa- Great voice and personality.
Bucky- I love him because he's just Bucky and I also think he has a great voice.
Taylor- I love him because he's a total spaz! He has an incredible voice too.

I'm satisfied with the eliminations of Will, Gideon and Kinnik. All three needed to go, though I think Kevin should be gone too. Ayla was a big error; a great talent and someone who could have appealed to a great deal of fans. Unfortunately, someone's got to go, and when everyone left is great, it becomes a matter of numbers; who's splitting votes with others.

Kinnik and Will: No surprise there.

Ayla: While I thought this girl could really sing, she just never seemed to connect to the audience. My first comment to my DH when I found out she was eliminated.... I wonder if that's the first time she hasn't come in first in her entire life?

Gedeon: Do I think he would have won it all? No but I am really sorry to see him go. Love, love, love his voice and I hope some really smart record exec is out there getting ready to speed dial Gedeon's phone number.

Bucky or Kevin or even Ace should have been gone first.

And Bo performance was, eh, just OK for me. I've heard quite a few of the songs on his album and can't say I've cared for them. I feel they were written too high for his voice. He needs to do a combo album of songs he sang on AI last year (especially For the Love of Money and In A Dream ) with some of HIS OWN material. On the flip side, he still is yummy!
