Gedeon got robbed!!!-Boy has pipes and could blow!!-This is a singing contest not a popularity contest and America blew it letting Kevin and Bucky into the top 12----Will was at the bottom of the list but with Gedeon they would have had a solid 12 a real competition of vocal talent!

Unfortunately the "OOOhhhh he's so cute I wanna pinch his checks" mentality went to far--

I agree that Gedeon cpuld sing. I wish that I knew how kids like Kevin build up such a fan base. It may get painful watching him try to keep up with the "big boys" next week, but I think that Gedeon would have really help his own and then some. Oh well, America gets to vote.....

Did anyone else think Bo wasn't that great last night? I can't believe I am even typing this. I really like him and was totally amazed by him last year. But he is really thin and was more showy, not that down to earth southern rocker. All the smiles for the camera...He played the camera so much. Where as last year you didn't want to take your eyes off him because how he was just into the music. Also the sweating? Don't remember that at all last year. Hope he is feeling alright!

Bo was awful -- but I never liked him. I told DBF he looks like a "stinky hippie" -- I think he'd smell like patchouli and pot smoke.

And, darn Vote for the Worst! I went with Lisa to go based on their tallies. I was only 3 for 4 on the booted ones tonight!

It was DialIdol that was the main website that predicts who will go home, VFTW doesn't make official predictions. But me personally was sure Lisa was going to go. I'll take Ayla going home though, I just wanted Melissa in the top 12.

That being said, the first 3 going home will be Bucky, Melissa, and Kevin.

But see, here is the amazing thing. Eddie Murphy was right all those years ago, when he said no matter how ugly you are, if you are a singer (he used rock star), the girls go crazy for.

I am not saying Kevin is ugly, but I highly if he was not on AI, he would have a "cute shield" in his HS. The pretty/popular girls would probably not give him the time of day, and if they did have him around them, it would be to help them do their homework. He would be their "pet".

So, how does an average, everyday nerd without the best singing voice get 1000's of votes to keep him in the competition? AI influence. Comparing him in a side by side shot of Chicken Little sealed his fate in the Top 12. He could of come out and sang "Happy Birthday" this week, and still would not of gotten the lowest number of votes.

I laugh at how the Judges and Ryan remind us every week that this is NOT a popularity contest and to please vote for the best singer, yet, they are subconscienely telling us to do just that, by having these cute little back stories and comparing Kevin to one of the cutest cartoon characters ever.

Gideon got robbed, and next week, who ever goes home in Kevin's place will have gotten robbed also.

OMG NO! George Clooney is handsome, suave and may I say it again..gorgeous...Bucky is.... certainly not handsome or sauve.

I am a huge Bo fan and he was horrible last night! I have his CD and it's "just awright for me, dog"; it definitely doesn't sound at all like Bo's style and that's sad. I will also have to say that as much as I love Bo, there are at least 2 or 3 guys this season who are better. HOWEVER, last night was NOT typical of Bo, he was MUCH better last season. He did not hit any of the high notes (didn't even try) and his voice actually broke at one point near the end. I agree he has lost a lot of weight, and between that, the profuse sweating and his dismal performance, I have to think he is sick. I know he has had a bunch of medical issues lately; I am starting to think he has some serious medical problems that have not been publicized

i think the producers are pushing him big time.
"the sex symbol" "Chicken Little" they want him to go far. He won't win but he will be there for awhile more I bet.

I feel bad for Gideon. I liked him. He has an amazing voice. And I really like Ayla. What a talent. I really though the big surprise last night was that Lisa would get booted. She had a wonderful audition but hasn't wowed me since. She better pick up the pace or she will be out the door.

Ayla Brown's father, Scott Brown, was on a local radio show this morning and he said they were shown a geographic breakdown of the voting. He basically said the blue states liked Ayla but the red states vote heavily for the southerners in the contest. He said it is pretty hard to go against a girl who was abandoned by her mother and left on her grandparents door steps who's father is in prison. I assume he was referring to Kellie Pickler.

I think Ayla is more talented than some of the other girls but I honestly believe that she is better off not being part of the final 12. She wasn't going to win and this way she can get on with her life. She will be going to Boston College in the fall and will end up better off in the long run going back to a "normal" life.

I know everyone at this point thinks they are going to be big stars but even the person who comes in third has never amounted to anything in this contest, nevermind fourth or fifth or sixth. Where is Justin Guarini? Diana DiGarmo? Heck, where are Ruben and Fantasia??

If you look at the final 12, how many are truly pop star material?? Katharine? Ace? Taylor? Chris? I think Kellie is to similar to Carrie Underwood. Kevin doesn't have a chance, neither does Bucky. Mandisa has a great voice but she has some other issues to overcome and I think she is a little old to be a "pop" star. At this point, you have to look at who will sell albums, who has appeal to the record buying market, who is esthetically pleasing, etc. It should be interesting.

Not sure, but I think you would have to pay whatever your phone service charge is. My DD gets some for free each month and has to pay a small amount if she goes over that number. But I think you can only text vote if you have Cingular...doesn't work with other services...is this correct???
