I'm surprised Seacrest didn't mention next year's audition cities... they always do that at the end of the season. Any word on them yet? My goal is to audition just to get a number. I don't want to make it at all, just to have the number would be SWEET!!!!

I loved the show last night - best FINALE ever!!

They finally added shows in TEXAS - I checked last night after Ryan said they added 15 more shows and found out tickets go on sale Saturday, May 27 - well, this morning something told me to check and I did and they went on sale TODAY at 10:00, I missed the first section seats but got some ok seats, it's a small theatre so I'm hoping all the seats are good.

Are you talking about the Nokia Center in Grand Prairie? I got tickets to the Friday night show but I'm not sure the seats are all that good. If it's a small theater, maybe I'm okay after all.

I've never been to Nokia Theatre but it only seats 6,250 so that's pretty small for a concert.

I have 2 tickets in 306 - very front and 1 ticket in 204 halfway up.

204 is the middle section which is really good - section 306 is one section over but still in the middle - you did really good!!

I'm just mad at myself that I didn't think about checking until 45 minutes after they went on sale - I guess it could be worse, I could be still waiting for Saturday to buy them, LOL!!!

Did anyone else notice how annoyed Chris looked to be singing Bacharach? Like he couldn't be done fast enough.

In retrospect, I think Melissa McGhee got cut WAY too early. She was better than Pickler IMO of course.

My mom actually said to me this morning that Prince probably walked offstage to avoid looking like a midget next to Seacrest HAHAHA. Seacrest...what is he...5' nothin?

Whoever made the "slimming Kat down by pairing her with "the loaf" was priceless!

As for the number of votes cast outnumbering the presidential election...as was said, teens CAN'T vote in elections, and normal folks can't voted 20 times or for more than one person!

O.k....I missed the whole Prince thing. Not a huge Prince fan, but would've been cool to see. My 18 mo old starts saying, "Poop, poop" at 9:45! I'm like oh no...I'm going to miss the end. She usually sits on the potty reading her books for 15 minutes. I turned the t.v. up in case I missed anything, and all I kept hearing was screaming and clapping! I had no idea who was on until the news. DD did make it quick, so I was able to see the end!! Who'da thought! I'm glad Taylor won...something different!

On his website he mentions his grandmother as being the big influence in his life. Not sure where his Mom is. I wouldn't mind adopting him!!

I read where there was a custody battle back when Taylor was 6-7 years old, so it sounds like his mom and dad still don't get along. That was his step-mom with Taylor's dad at the finale. Taylor's mom and step-dad were at the civic center in B'ham for the finale.

I thought Prince did a great job but agree that it seemed like his spot was just stuck there at the end.

I listened to Ryan on KiisFM this morning and he said thats because Prince didn't bother showing up until just before he was to go on. So Ryan was doin the show with ppl giving him messages about Prince not showing, and they were trying to figure out what to do if he really didn't show! So he showed up last second and then if you noticed he just waltzed right off the stage after he was done... Ryan had walked up there to shakes his hand and etc... but Prince was gone when he got up there He hopped into his limo as soon as he could.

my BF heard on Howard Stern aa while back that Prince is a NON-fan of AI, but, since its good promotion for his new music, he agreed to make an appearance.

It is also interesting to note that immediately before Taylor decided to try out for AI, his father gave him the talk about going into another line of work as music wasn't working out for him.

I get the feeling it was like "OK, we have put up with this long enough, now get a real job" ... much like I would be with my son, LOL.

It must be exciting for Dr. Hicks to see his son achieve something he's been working at forever, especially since a new career path had been discussed.

Oh, Oh. I wonder now how many kids will take what happened and use it as an example. I'll be DS will. He and DH recently had "the talk" (well, DH did-DS listened, sort of) about getting a "real" job-DS is a music major, now with his bachelor's degree and planning on getting his master's degree, in music performance. Meanwhile he's waiting tables at Chilli's. I can just see it now-"Well, look at Taylor Hicks. If he'd listened to his father...." Maybe I'm not so glad Taylor won now!
