Carrie just finished singing on the ACMAs. What a year she has had! She is in tears because of the crowd's reaction.

Carrie just won single of the year!!!!

Sorry, Lisa, but I do not agree. I think that both of their songs were great. I really liked Kat's and I am a Taylor fan.

Taylor has got this nailed. I can't wait to hear 'em sing again tomorrow!

What an ending!

If only Kat's song brought as much emotion to me, as seeing her father after each song, she'd have me voting for her.

Both songs stunk, IMO, but Taylor managed to put more of - well, of Taylor, into it. Kat got the short end of the stick if you ask me.

It doesn't really matter though. They're both going to do well out there.

She totally played it safe with songs that she knew she had nailed and I think that her fans should feel cheated.


On a side note I keep getting a weird message when I vote for Taylor that says "No V4"

Well, I'm a Kat fan, but I've gotta admit that Taylor has this one in the bag.

Round One went to Taylor. I thought Kat was more energetic with song the first time and this "Black Horse" was not as exciting as when she first sang it. Taylor's "Living in the City" showed why people love Taylor. He's fun to watch.

Round Two went to Katharine without question. Her version of "Rainbow" was BETTER this time than last (no matter what you haters say ). I hated when Taylor sang "Levon" the first time around and I didn't like it this time either.

Round Three goes to whomever has the better song and Taylor absolutely had the better song (although they were both dreck). Kat's song was more difficult to sing without a doubt - highs, lows, multiple key changes. I'll be honest...this is not a song Kat can sing. She can't hit the glory notes. Hopefully, she'll put out a jazz cd. Taylor's song was better, but whenever he said "Do I Make You Proud" I wanted to gag...I laughed instead. Still, his song was better.

Honestly, I won't be voting for either tonight. Personally, I think they both should've had to sing the same song, because I honestly thought they (the producers) won this thing for Taylor with his single. Now, I like Taylor (I just like Kat better) and I will readily admit that I think he "won the night." Still, I think they both should've sang the same song, 'cause Kat's "My Destiny" was the pits.

Taylor would not have nailed that song with the arrangement that Kat had - no way. Kat's song was much more difficult than Taylor's.

As a Kat fan, I shouldn't feel any more cheated than you as a Taylor fan. Taylor picked two songs he was comfortable with, too. Personally, as a Kat fan, her "Rainbow" was beautiful, better than the first time she sang it, and was one of my favorite performances from an Idol ever (then again, I love the Eva Cassidy version of this song which is akin to Kat's version and very different and more folksy than Judy Garland's version).

I don't think everyone realizes that both Kat and Taylor sang songs that they had previously performed on the show. The fact that Randy complained about Kat repeating her songs but not saying a word about Taylor doing exactly the same thing, may have confused a lot of new viewers.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I think if Taylor had sung the song he would have done well with it. Katharine did okay with that song until she went for those glory notes that she just can't reach. Taylor would have sung those songs using notes he could sing....the big difference between them.

Sorry but her Rainbow does nothing for me and it especially didn't do much for me listening to it two weeks in a row.

Kat has a nice voice but she needs to work on consistency and those glory notes that make her sound like a fishwife.
