William is working on his fourth album. He doesn’t know what the title will be yet, it’s still in the development stage. It’s going to be a mini album, with five to six songs.

Despite not even making it to the Hollywood round of American Idol Season 3, Hung is the show’s most recognized success story. Released in April 2004, his debut album Inspiration – which features Hung’s hilarious covers of hits like YMCA and Shake Your Bon Bon – peaked at No.3 of Amazon.com’s sales rankings, with several of his songs reaching the top ten of Apple iTunes download charts. He has since released two other records: Hung for the Holidays (December 2004) and Miracle: Happy Summer from William Hung (July 2005).

Hung has also appeared on CNN Headline News, Today Show, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, staged concerts in Asia and lent his voice to a handful of professional sporting events.

Not content with just singing, Hung has even ventured into acting, with the Hong Kong action-musical-comedy Where Is Mama’s Boy, bit parts in a Spanish movie, an English one starring Lorenzo Lamas, Olivia Hussey, Coolio and Ernest Borgnine, plus a guest role in the critically-acclaimed TV comedy Arrested Development. He’s also the only American Idol contestant to have inspired a documentary Hangin’ with Hung.

Man, it took me ALL MORNING to read all of these responses! I haven't seen the DIS so PO'd since the last election!! :

I have to admit I was in a state of utter shock when they announced Chris' name. I had hoped all the prediction sites were wrong but it sure cleared up those conspiracy theories! From a broadcast point of view it would KILL me to see a finale blow up in my face like that, but if the votes warranted it, so be it.

I am a BIG Taylor fan but I did like Chris. I didn't think he was hot or even a nice guy I just thought he had a nice tone to his voice, maybe the best of bunch. What I want to know is what happened to his fan base??? They seemed to be so very dedicated then they fizzed out. On the AI boards his fan base is not even HALF of Taylors... and believe me, once you've made a fan group a CULT (Soul Patrol), a clan, a family or a gang, call it what you want it's a group of like minds, they work HARD for their man.

Maybe if he had Daughtry's Daughters, or the Chris Misses, or the Fuel Fools... whatEVER... maybe they would've stuck together, who knows??

No matter what, I think Chris will do fine. He is a very talented man who got his 15 minutes and will make it work for him. He will never be the same.

As for his wife, man, I'd make sure I get my half when he bolts. I know that's crazy but he just hits me as the type that will... heck, MOST of them do. So glad to see that Bo hung in there!

LOL, it will be funny to see what kind of turn this show will take now. Taylor LOOKS like a shoe in but up until Tuesday so was Chris. Man, what now????

Twenty-eight million jaws dropped to the floor Wednesday night as Chris Daughtry got voted off “American Idol.” But don’t think this rocker is down and out.

Only “Extra” broke big news about Chris that’s making headlines from Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to stations across the country.

“You have an offer to be the lead singer of a major band,” Ryan revealed to Chris Thursday morning on his hit radio show. “Theyre going to be on ‘Extra’ tonight, and they’re going to submit the formal offer for you.”

Thursday, Fuel bass player Jeff Abercrombie and songwriter/guitarist Carl Bell came straight to “Extra” with the offer of a lifetime -- they want Chris.

"Chris, if you are watching, we've talked about this before, and if you want to entertain it again we'll take it and go," Abercrombie offered.

Chris’ rendition of Fuel’s “Hemorrhage” was his first groundbreaking “Idol” performance. The band, which has been searching for a lead singer, saw Chris’ performance and they want him in the band.

Well Chris, it’s up to you, but first “Extra” has another “Idol” exclusive. Our Terri Seymour was with Ryan and Randy for LA’s FOX 11 just moments after Chris’ shocking send off.

"Obviously, it wasn't based on singing tonight because the wrong person went home," Randy admitted. "Catherine probably should have gone home tonight."

It’s down to the final three, and Simon came to “Extra” telling us now there are no favorites. “The funny thing about this show is when someone goes, you never know where their votes are going to go,” Simon confessed. “I genuinely don't know who is going to win.”

"I auditioned for Rock Star, the first one. It didn"t go too well, obviously. I didn"t make it on that show, and I realized then that was because I was supposed to be on this show."

Wow! I didn't know Chris was rejected for Rock Star. I think that just goes to show the calibre of singers on Rock Star.

So, I just watched the video again (thanks for the links, folks) and Paula's reaction -- covering her head in utter and complete disgust and sorrow -- is priceless. Here's a question - Has that woman ever backed a female contestant during this show's whole run? I mean, sure, she sleeps with the male ones ( ), but she doesn't seem to ever praise a female contestant as much as a male one.

I am done with AI forever! Their ratings are going to drop like a bomb! I'm so freakin' p.o.'d about Chris! There is NO WAY he had the lowest number of votes! I have heard that people calling Chris's line were getting Kat's "thanks for voting" message. There are several articles online about the phone lines being messed up. Chris is better off (I suppose!) because he will have more opportunities, and will not have a cheesy song as his first single now. Grrrrr......

Seriously, all of these sour grapes are kind of amusing. Just because someone is expected to win doesn't mean that they will. Besides, I've heard more often that Taylor is expected to win.

I seriously doubt that they will drop all that much. I would think the majority of people watched for the show not for one contestant. Don't you think that by now if it came out that there really was a mix up in lines (not just rumours) it would be all over the news and a huge scandal would be brewing. he first I read about it was right here.

What we do know is that more people preferred Katherine than Mandisa. While each of us may have our own opinion, as a group our preference was clearly for Katherine.

I wasn't trying to state "a comeback." I was trying to state how irritated I am when people get all riled up because "their favorite" leaves. It's a tv show, for Pete's sake. Why stop watching a show you enjoy because someone that you liked got the boot. Obviously, your favorite didn't get enough votes. Hey, if you don't watch, though, I guess your votes won't shift to someone other than Kat...so I'm okay with you switching the show off.

As if that wasn't bad enough - the following year poor Mary Roach was robbed too!

Seriously though. Chris DID have the least amount of votes. Both websites that spoil results had him at the bottom. He's been in the bottom 3 before so it's not like he has constantly been on top. He's actually been landing more towards the middle of the pack of late.

Like it or not - and don't get me wrong because I do think Chris is talented - a LOT of people that backed Chris in the beginning lost interest in him over the weeks. My wife and I discuss AI with coworkers and more often than not they say something along the lines of "At first I really liked Chris but he just sounds too much the same week after week to the point where his performance bores me".

Even the music reviewer for our local paper gave up on him and our paper is trying to claim some ownership to him along with Elliott since he grew up in VA.

Just had to say that I know a lot of people that watch the show but choose not to vote. After talking to them I think they'll feel embarrassed if they admit they actually vote for AI.

Also, had to tell a funny story. DH was golfing in his league Wednesday night & stopped out for a bite to eat with his friends. One of the guys got a phone call & very loudy said, "What!! Oh my goodness, you're kidding me!!!" & promptly walked out of the place to continue his phone call.

When he returned DH asked him if everything was OK. He threw his hands up in the air & very loudly said, "Chris got voted off." Everyone looked at him bewildered & he said, "You know - American Idol - they just voted Chris off."

After that DH called me to see if I was okay or of my heart was broken!

I'm sick of everyone beating up on Kat too. Yeah, she messed up. But obviously her fans thought that they would rather see her continue. So she should be blamed for Chris's fans not voting enough? I wouldn't want to be that girl for anything right now! She is going to get beat up next week, and that is not fair! She is just as talented as any of the others! Would there be this much of an uproar if Taylor was voted off? Maybe? But come on, it's over get on with it! Stop watching, it's not skin off of my nose. It still will be a very high rated show next season.

Personally, I would rather listen to Kat mess up a few lyrics than see Chris do every song the same way. And you can agree with that or not, I won't mind!

OMG, that is one of my biggest pet peeves! That poor girl is getting beat up from all angles! I guess Chris is an easy name to spell then! :lol:
