Wow I just got home ran to turn on the tv and BAM! I'm done with Idol. I certainly hope he signs with someone soon I would love to own one of his Cd"s.

the last couple of days people have went door to door in McLeansville and encouraged people in the community to vote for Chris the hometown boy

I am done again. Every year the best singer gets voted off about this time and then I stop watching. So many crappy people end up in the finals (Ruben who can't sustain a concert...Diana, come on). That is it. I can't believe people can be so idiotic. This show will not be on again in my house this year. What are people thinking? Count me out of watching the finals.

I completely 100% agree! I am so shocked...I thought Chris was going to be the winner. I am done with American Idol not just this season, but for good!

I am in denial that Chris is gone. Other than Taylor I have no reason to watch the show anymore. CAn someone explain why Chris is better off without the title?

I AM DONE WITH AMERICAN IDOL !!!!!! How the Heck did Katherine win over Chris! That's BULL!! This show is fixed. I think they want Katherine to win.

They've been hawking Chris (who's now gone), Kellie (who's gone), and Taylor from the beginning. This show ain't fixed.

I'm one of those. I really liked Chris but I voted for Taylor because I was hoping to see a Chris/Taylor finale.

I am refraining from posting exactly who went home tonight(in deference to West Coasters), but I can hardly believe it. Mandisa going home was a shock, but not this big of a shock .

I also think that Paris's votes were a factor. Her fan base wasn't going to support Chris. I think her fan votes went to Taylor and Kat.

Well I really can't believe that Chris has been voted off. I really hate it but like others have said he's better off w/ out the title of American Idol. I'm sure he will go on to make the big time. I agree that this is now Taylor's for the taking.

Shocked...that's all I can say. My mouth literaly fell open and stayed that way for a very long time. I LOVE Chris and really hope he gets signed. How could he NOT?

Chris was my least favorite of the final group of contestants; so I am not suprised by the results (never got Chris love fest demonstrated on this board). His performances last night were mediocre at best, but I thought he performed better than Katherine. Based on performance only, Katherine should have gotten the booth. But given people saying their favorite is 'awesome' even while simultaneously saying said favorite was just okay that evening, then who can explain voting patterns. IMO, he was not the best singer in final top 10 because his range is the most limited.

I agree with the other posters who say Chris will do well (although I would NEVER buy a CD of his).
