Elliott is pretty-close to pitch perfect -- just about the only one this year. Very nice.

Another poor song choice for Paris. She needs to put out a cd of standards and I'd buy it, but this was poor.

Plus, I don't know this song at all, but did she say something that got her bleeped out?

Someday you'll have to check it out. It was a crazy dance he did when he listened to Tom Jones records. Hilarious -and Taylor got darn near it tonight!

so for the first round tonight, i thought simon's comments were pretty accurate. i thought that chris was the only one who was really great, and my two faves, elliott and taylor, had DEFINITELY done better. i thought katherine was awful. i think she's gorgeous, but when i close my eyes, i hear a cat getting its tail run over by a jeep. i thought paris was fun, c'mon, who doesn't love some prince?
we're only one song in to the second half, but i thought elliott's michael buble cover was beautiful. it definitely melted me! i just find his voice so striking. i hope that simon is wrong, and that enough others enjoyed his performance as much as i did and vote for him. go elliott! i am worried he might go home this week - i hope not!!!!

Ours too maybe it's Cox? I think it was just a sound glitch though. I can't imagine she'd sing a dirty song!

I liked Elliott's second song. But I was thinking the same thing that Simon said about the lyrics, sorta funny. Meh, I'm voting for him anyway.

Paris...oh my goodness, that voice!! I am soooooo annoyed with her. She needs to stop saying thank you in that mouse voice. I will vote for anyone to get her out of there...

I really enjoyed Elliott's second performance. I hope he won't follow the song title this week. This was the first time I didn't feel like he was dragging out the words.

Paris - I think it must be the type of music, but I didn't enjoy that at all. Her voice sounded fine, but I don't like "oh yeahs" and "come ons" thrown in during the song. She did that a bit too much for me, but that might be Mary J Blige's style - I really don't know much about her music.

Paris was pretty inconsistent. Sounds like some of the lyrics didn't make it past Fox's censors -- that'll hurt her, regardless of whether it was a censor mistake or actually objectionably lyrics.

Paris sung a Mary J Blige song. I don't like the song. They play it to death on the radio. Its one of Mary's newest songs. I'm not a big Mary J. Blige fan anyway. Personally, I think it was a wrong song choice .
