I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but the DIS is slow and this thread is so long that I can't find anything about it. . .

What was that song Bucky sang? I definitely recognized it, but can't quite place it. I don't listen to country, and as I listened to Bucky I felt like the version of the song I've heard before isn't country . Am I imagining things ?

"He, Nigel, says that after getting last night's results he was so upset he couldn't sleep. He kept telling Ryan he wished he wouldn't have mentioned it, because he is getting ill all over again just thinking about it.

In another post he was quoted as saying that someone Very Popular is going home tonight!!!!! Stated everyone would be shocked, but that term is used too loosely by him."


Now, who could it be if Nigel said he's lost sleep over who's going home???

Does anyone think it could be Taylor???

She was giving dirty looks and gave Ryan Seacrest an evil look when he asked if any of the judges had been drinking. Maybe she was mad because she got booed.

The first ones that come to my mind that would be shocking are Taylor or Mandiza (although I can't stand her) and also Katherine or Chris (my personal favorites)

Did anyone see Ryan on Leno last week? He really slammed Simon and Paula. Leno asked Seacrest point blank if Paula was drunk on the show. Seacrest responded by saying he didn't know what was in the cups. Leno said "So, you understand what she is saying?" Seacrest said "Absolutely not" and then gave this look, raised eyebrow and wink right into the camera. Gave the impression he was confirming the drunk rumors without actually coming right out and saying it.

He did say that Simon was extremely vain. That he ordered a statue of himself (prompted by the Britney statue) to put in his courtyard. Ryan went on and on about "how would anybody want a statue of themself in their own courtyard."

DH and I were thinking that Paula and Simon were definitely ticked off at Ryan and probably because of his Leno comments.

If Nigel is losing sleep I HOPE it's over Paris being booted. The judges seem to like her for God knows why...so that would be considered a shock.

To me, a shock would be Chris, Taylor or Katherine (whom I expect to be the final 3). If Any of them go home tonight, I might stop watching.

Chris is smoking hot (his wife is a very lucky woman). The fact that he is such a devoted husband and father to his step-kids makes him doubly so. He doesn't need this competition to further his career at this point, but "I" need him!!!

Taylor is so much fun, you can't help but smile, clap your hands and stomp your feet. I REALLY want to see him bust out the harmonica and play in one performance.

You are not imagining things. Took me a bit to figure it out myself. I knew I had heard the song and knew it wasn't country that I had heard. The song is Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning) by Vertical Horizon
Thats the version I had originally heard.

Not true...I live in Charlotte, which is about 50 miles from Albemarle and I know of several restaurants that have calamari.

Other than that, I agree with your opinions on everyone else!

You know, after I posted that I started wondering about it...lol...I was thinking she was from closer to Raleigh. Figured Charlotte to have a couple good seafood restaurants, but didn't think Raleigh would have very many, just based on size (and what little I've seen of it).

Ok...I'll amend that to, "I don't know about Kellie, but there aren't more than three restaurants within 100 miles of where I am sitting that sell calamari."

Thanks for the Vertical Horizon info . I didn't think I was imagining it since I don't listen to country unless I'm forced to. So was it a popular country song at some point, too?

And about Paris. . . Is there a single person here on this thread who is a big fan of hers and voting for her week after week ? If there are any here, it's not many. We are a somewhat large group with wide-ranging opinions on all the other singers and music styles. I just can't figure out who is voting for Paris. She sings okay, but I just don't see how she hasn't been in the bottom 3 yet if the indifference toward or even dislike of her here among us is any sign . I thought Lisa had way more personality, looks, and potential as far as pop idoldom goes, and she's long gone.

I agree, dialidol and some other place both say the bottom three will be Mandisa, Elliott and Paris.................

It's so hard to say who's going home at this point because they are all talented........

2) WHO told Kenny Rogers to get his face lfted a zillion times??

4) Someboday get Mandisa a fashion stylist. She CANNOT where tight pants or sleeveless tops. That halter she was wearing was horrible. It made her look freakishly chesty, the stripes accentuated her girthiness, and the lack of arm coverings showed off her flabby bat-wing arms. She is a beautiful plus-sized girl and needs to dress appropriately to show off herself.



6) Ace needs to do less of the "not-a-thought-in-my-head-I'm-just-a-deer-in-the-headlights" look. I can actually hear the sound of crickets chirping when he stares like that...like not a thought in the world going on up there. The light is on but nobody is home. Very smooth of him to let them announce his newly "available" status. It'll help bring in votes.

7) Every week they cut off a little more of Taylor's hair. Not necessarily a bad thing, as he now looks much younger (almost looks his age!). If they dye it, I'll go crazy mad! He needs to go back to being TAYLOR on-stage. I need the "Woooos!" and the crazy spaz-dancing. I tend to think he was so uncomfortable singing that song that he just hid behind the mic.

8) Elliot needs stage lessons. He just bounces from one leg to the other while standing in place. I commented to DH that he is probably an awkward dancer (and likely hates slow-dancing). Someboday needs to teach him how to work the stage...even if he doesn't "dance".

9) Nothing to say about Paris....she WILL go home tonight.

Queen next week aye? Now THAT I am excited for. Queen is really hard to sing. There are so many terrific songs to pick from. Taylor, Elliot, Chris and even KAtherine will be ok but all the others will have a REALLY hard time.

Ace: This was his best song ever but he's still not a very good singer and he needs a haircut! When he wears those hats, you can see how handsome he is but with that hair, yuck.
