Just finished putting DD to bed. Well, Chris went too rock for me tonight, though when I tried to ignore the music he sounded pretty good compared to the first three.
Katharine sounded really good to me tonight. That was the best of the night to that point.
Bucky...sorry but Tim McGraw he isn't. He swallowed the words or mumbled too much. He also didn't hit the lower range like Tim can...and that makes the song. (I know the song well & listened to see if he messed up the words since that happens sometimes. He just didn't say some of them.)
Madissa...goodness, I guess everyone can have a bad night. Didn't like that one at all.
Paris...I think that she showed that she can be a performer. That one tops Katharine.

- She's definitely got a good voice, but I don't think she can really sing "pop" music. The beginning felt like something was wrong with it (I can't really put my finger on it -- was she enunciating too much?) and in the end it felt like she was yelling.
- This should've been Kellie's night to pick a song and shine, but tonight I came to the realization that she really can't sing. She's just boring when she sings! Granted, I CAN'T STAND that song, but she did nothing with that song!
- When he started, I literally laughed. All I can say is "Bye Bye Ace!" And what was with that tearing back of the shirt?!?!?
- Never heard of this song before, but after last week's Taylor debacle, he's back to the good 'ole Taylor again! Loved the song, loved the vocal, loved that he felt that he didn't have to be "showy."
- Gospel on Idol! And I love it! Kinda felt she was yelling a little too much throughout it, but still she did a fantastic job. I agree with Simon that it was "indulgent," but I admire the fact that she chose a song that meant something to her.
- Ouch! Was she singing this song too high for her? It didn't seem like she sang it in tune at all! I may have to powerdial for her tonight 'cause I still want her here, but that was pretty poor! Maybe I just was missing something because I totally disagree with the judges!
- Sorry, I just don't see him as anything but karaoke. I mean, he wasn't awful, but he just isn't good.
- I know that no one else here will like this, but I thought it was pretty good. Personally, I love this song, and she actually kind of did this song justice. Wasn't great, and she wasn't close to Beyoncé (who's overrated anyway), but she did a good job.
- Best of the night, I think. Really love the song and, like Paula said, he made it his own. This guy can sing and it was really great to see him sing something uptempo.
