My opinion:
Lisa - I like her, but I think she's out of her element and will be going home tomorrow

Kellie - did not do the song justice. I really liked her at first and I think she's slipping.

Ace - he's so pretty! Wait...did he sing? Oh yeah...it wasn't bad.

Taylor - didn't know the song. I just don't "get" him. Not a fan.

Mandisa - didn't know the song - really like her though.

Chris - not a great song, but totally not "head banging" as some have suggested. It's Creed for heaven's sake -- not Static-X! I would go to his concert and buy his CD.

Katherine - something about her seems phony. She definitely does not have the range of Christina, but I think mommy vocal coach builds her up. I think she's got a lot of talent though.

Bucky - I like country and I like Tim McGraw. Saw Tim in September. Bucky's version was damn close. I'm glad he went back to his roots.

Paris - no opinion - I can't stand her.

Elliott - interesting. I wonder how amazing his voice would be if he had 100% hearing?

I think Lisa will be going home.

Katharine: HOW they let her get away with that I'll never know....

Bucky: I like country about as much as most of you like GOSPEL...YUCK!!!!! The hat made me want to vomit. And YES, he got his teeth capped!!

Paris: Rubs me the wrong way somehow, good voice, karaoke Beyonce.

Elliott: Not bad, not disgusting.

I voted for my adorable Ace and Taylor. I love them both and anything short of them coming out on the stage and shooting someone, they will always get MY votes!! Pssst... I threw in a few votes for Lisa, sorry the Mom in me just FEELS for her!! Unfortunately, I think tomorrow will be then end of her pain.

I know Bo wasn't the original singer of the song, but when Bo sang it, he was HOT!!!! It was Elliott that made the mistake of mentioning that he knew Bo sang the song last season, but that he was going to sing it his own way....

Bye Bye Lisa! Tonight was your last shot and you blew it.

Tonight sucked with a capitel "S"! Eveyrbody was just so BLAH...even my guy Chris was run-of-the-mill. Simon said exactly what I wanted to say to him: branch out man! Show me something else. I know you can rock...show me something new...another side! I'll totally buy your CD and go to your concert, but keep it fresh!

ALL the contestants made me want to change the channel. Parisa is NO Beyonce. It was awkward. That whole song was too "adult" for her. Simon was spot on in his criticism as usual (he ALWAYS is).

Bucky and Kellie gave me an opportunity to make a fridge run while they wasted a few screen minutes with crappola gooshy country (Kellie...SUDS IN THE BUCKET???? There's actually a song called that???) or unitelligable gibberish (Bucky...eeeee-nun-see-ate!)

Mandisa sounded like she was testifying at church...yes yes...Praise and all. I can hear that on Sunday morning at any of a adozen churches arouns here.

Elliot was alright...not GREAT...just alright. Bo was better, and so was the original.

Taylor was different, and too subdued. I actually missed his "Woooes!", and the spastic dancing. I also had a very...ahem...R-rated dream about him last night and spent most of his song blushing violently while DH danced around the living room singing "Jennasis and Taylor sittin' in a tree....!" I think by the end of the season his hair will look like George Clooney

Katherine did well but wasn't blowing me away.

Ace would be leaving tomorrow if Lisa hadn't been so awful.

I voted for Katherine, Chris and Taylor and will continue to support those 3 all the way. Everybody else can duke it out.

I can't wait to see what happens between Taylor and I tonight!

I only enjoyed Taylor's performance tonight. He is just a such a breath of fresh air, and he looks better every week. He sang a song I'd never heard before, and made me really like it. I rarely enjoy a song the first time I hear it, and that has only happened a couple of times this season.

Everyone else either really stunk (e.g. Ace; and Lisa - who I actually like), or they were completely boring (e.g. Katharine - but she's boring and dresses in ugly clothes every week). Elliot was probably second best, with Chris being good but boring since it's what he always sounds like. I'm still for him to be #2, though - after Taylor. He just needs to show some versatility, like Bo did.

This is definitely the year for the guys. I am just so not crazy about any of the women this year . And while once again I'd LOVE to see Kellie Pickler go home this week , I think Ace, Lisa, and Bucky will be the bottom 3.

I started dialing as soon as Elliott started singing and was able to vote for Bucky a dozen times before I got a busy signal.

I did the same but I didnt get through as many times as you! I thought Bucky was charismatic tonight. His song choice was right on for him.

I can't believe that Simon trashed Taylor for his wardrobe tonight and then was full of praise for Katharine. Did he even look at what she was wearing???YUCK! I thought Taylor looked really good tonight and he sounded great too.

I love Chris too! I also think due to that strong love I let some things slide. After reading your post I agree, he should have picked a different Creed song.
I do like What If , just not the way he did it totally. It was good, it wasnt great. I would have loved to hear him do My Own Prison or Pity For a Dime. It would have displayed his vocal diversity with less strained (screamed) notes. Ah, still love em!

What I REALLY want is Chris to sing a Nickelback song...though I think most of the lyrics may be a bit too racey for primetime, he would rock the hiz-ouse (I'm so weird).

Seriously though. How thrilled was I that Chris got to tell everyone about whole "Live" cover of last week's "Walk The Line" (should shut up all the "Chris is a big fat liar" folks round here). Don't think for a second that Ryan SPRANG that on him. Those questions are all carefully planned. I am also delighted to hear that he is planning some alternative styled music in the future (if he makes it past tonight that is....I almost think everyoine is fair game after tonights abysmal perfomances!)

I can't believe no one noticed Elliot messed up the lyrics! I don't usually notice when people screw up, but I know that song and I even checked the lyrics just to make sure. And sure enough he switched the first two lines around. And the third line it just sounded like he was stumbling with the words. His performance just seemed to go downhill from there. I felt so bad for him after that and I thought that it would probably cost him. But apparently, no one else even noticed!

And I also definitely miss Kevin this week. If he had survived last week, he would have definitely survived this week. He couldn't have been as bad as a lot of the performances tonight.
