I am so upset the season is over... I liked this group. ITA they all looked great tonight. My girls even cried because it was over. Well I will probably feel the same next year too.

I was thrilled to see Chris again! He sounded great! Ace was great! Bucky-great!

SO GLAD of the two left that Taylor won! He has so much personality.....I can't wait to see the tour! Congrats Soul Patrol!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to jump on you. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. I'm just gunshy when it comes to Kat. She has been beaten up so badly on other boards. But really, look at what she had to work with? Meat Loaf was just painful to watch.

- When Clay came out the first thing I said was "what's with the Beatle's haircut"? But I was happy to see him...his voice is as great as ever and he really does have beautiful eyes, so I prefer the shorter hair as well. !!

OK - I think I know who you are talking about but I want to be sure. Ryan was giving an award for the best impersonator - One of the nominees was doing Michael Jackson and Thriller. The "winner" came out and started singing and then the back drop opened and another guy with longish har - kinda reminded me of a shag/beatle haircut - and started singing and the "nominee" kept singing even though he appeared starstruck. When Ryan brought him a stool he sat dwon and didn't stop singing - THE OTHER PERFORMER WAS CLAY??? Then I didn't recognize him AT ALL!!!!!.

This was right before the Burt Bacharach medoly and Dionne Warwick, right? That guy was Clay!! Sorry, i took a nap and tuned in right about this time but I never would have thought that was Clay - WOW!!!

I wouldn't necessarily say stoned, but I don't think she sounded good at all. At first I thought it looked like she was lip-synching. You could barely hear her. I'm not all to familiar with her music and singing, but it just didn't look normal to me.

I also agree Meatloaf stunk. Kat sounded great, it's too bad her partner didn't too.

Ok, so why didn't Kelly get to sing? What was up with the food scenes instead of her singing a song? I was so looking forward to hearing her voice again.

Nancy, you're much too nice. The correct response to that kind of comment is, "Oh, you won't have to search too hard. Just look on the Billboard chart slightly ahead of Taylor's album."



(I'll own both their CD's, so I'm neither overly thrilled or disappointed by the show tonight. Too late to post a full recap at this point, so I'll just say that the show was good, Kat was gorgeous and sang beautifully, and a BIG congrats to Taylor for a well deserved win!

Why thanks! I do try very hard to always be nice. I will also most likely buy both CD's. My music tastes are all over the place, so I liked both of them. I voted for Katharine cause I thought she needed it more and would fit the Idol "machine" better. This was the first year I liked too many of them to have a definite favorite.

Seems like a good thing we could barely hear what Toni Braxton was trying to sing... how did they come up with her??? She's Taylor's idol??? I don't think so!!!!!!

I missed Toni Braxton "singing" tonight, it seems alot of people here have commented about her performance. To make a Disney connection though, she was the only Belle on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast that couldnt hit the high notes (I guess they just brought her name in to sell tickets) The musical director had to lower all of her songs a few octaves so she could get through the show. Back to American Idol Congratulations Taylor!

I switched a lot during Lost commercials and this is what I saw during those and before:

I thought that Clay sounded good. Lots of guys in the bands have that shaggy hair nowadays.

Bucky sounded good too. I'm hoping so much that he'll release something because if he does, I'm all over it.

Chris and Live were good. I thought that Chris had the best voice at that moment.

It was cool to see Prince. I don't think that Prince is having any problems. He just likes to be quirky and what could be more quirky than appearing on AI?

Congratulations to Taylor!!! I think that he was genuinely humbled and shocked and that's why he yelled "Soul Patrol!" I thought that it was a great moment.

Kelli's solo was before Bucky - it;s seems she was one of the few who had no "partner"...maybe Wolfie.

Kelli had a short solo while singing with the girls, right or did I miss something else? I was hoping for more. I keep watching my tape of the guys singing. Just seeing Ace and hearing Bucky's voice. I'd love to have a CD of both of them!
