Thanks for posting the site link to the pics. I try to stay away from gray during the week (so as not to read any spoilers) but got roped into the "Taylor signed my boot" thread.

I think that I would have fallen over dead if I was that close to Taylor. I don't know how that woman was able to maintain the composure to even ask for an autograph, much less accept a hug, and have Taylor on his knees at her FEET to sign her boot! All with her DH watching...

Before this Taylor came along, my fave was James Taylor and I made my husband chase him down for his autograph while I watched through the window from inside the concert venue LOL!

Did anyone catch Kellie Pickler on Best Week Ever? She was HYSTERICAL! Seems like she can make a mint off of that "character"! I actually enjoyed her!

A: Elliott possesses something so deep within himself that for him to be able to do the things he does when he's on that stage, I honor him for that. He keeps it real. Taylor, that's my big brother. He has so much soul in him, and again, he keeps it real. With both of them, they both have a sense of home, you never feel like you're out of place. Katharine, very sweet, very classical. She's just Katharine. She's the beauty queen. Chris is definitely the rocker. He's so intense with what he does, and that's what makes him a great person.

I like Kellie's shorter hair. Maybe she's hoping with a more sophisticated image, people will forget all her ditzy comments in the past.

So we're down to the final four, I still like Elliott best. I love his voice. I also like Chris' voice, although, he really seems like he is straining it. Katherine, she's pretty good, but I have never voted for her. She also seems ditzy to me, and something about when she slips from her lower register into her higher register makes me not enjoy her singing very much. It should be a more seemless transition, instead it is very obvious when she switches. I did love when she sang "Think". Taylor has a great personality but I don't enjoy his singing. If you aren't watching him perform and have to just listen to him, for me, it's just not appealing. Therefore, I wouldn't purchase an album of his. I would buy one of Elliott's and possibly Chris'.

Great choices! Of course, Taylor is singing my favorite Elvis song! I think he and Chris have the best choices!

I am glad that there are some Elliot fans here. I was feeling kinda lonely

I agree, don't be lonely! I like Elliot but I just don't like him any better than two of the other competitors. The only one left that does nothing for me is Katharine. She's a decent singer but just not interesting to me.

Elliot has a nice voice though and just needs a little polish IMO.

Well, I don't like "In the Ghetto" at all, that is my least favorite Elvis song of all time. Not sure if I know Eliott's songs? Probably would know them if I heard them, but don't know them by the title.

No one is singing "Love Me Tender?"

You are not trying to compare Elliott to Elvis are you???...I am not a huge fan of Elvis but they are not close....Elvis had rhythm, Elvis had style, Elvis had the it factor that Elliott does not have...I hope you were nit trying to compare them

I guess if we can compare Taylor to Ray Charles and Joe Cocker, we can compare Elliott to Elvis.

Wow, Damo....talk about Have to admit, you had me with the Elliott = Elvis comparison. Sure, Elvis had a strong vibrato in his voice. Hea was also a male, so by the same standard you could compare roughly 49.9 percent of the American population to him as well...and be about as accurate as with the comparison between Elliott and the King.

Taylor not only sounds a bit like a cross between Joe Cocker and Brother Ray, but he moves a bit like one and has that same "soul" in his personality as well. The comparison is much more than "they both have a vibrato". You'll also notice that I've never said he was "as good as" or even, really, in the same class with those two legends...just that he does have some similarities with them. But when Elliott can get even in the same galaxy as Elvis in terms of charisma and stage presence, you can make the comparison without my saying a word. Until then, all I can say is:

As for the song choices...I agree that Chris' have the potential to be the best, but I think Kat's might surprise as well. I think she'll blow the slow song away, and she's always fun when she's doing something upbeat. She could conceivably put together two great ones tonight. As could Taylor or Chris. As for Goatboy...he hasn't put together two great performances all season, so I won't be holding my breath for even one listenable performance tonight.
