Well, it has all pretty much been said, but I'll throw my 2 pennies in for good measure.
Katharine - LOVED her! I thought her performance was great. When it was over I yelled out, "That was awesome!''. I think that the judges have been told to pimp the boys more so they bashed their biggest competition. I hope the viewers didn't fall for it. I wonder if the judges had anything to do with dressing her last night. Was the girl's underwear three times too small? Did she not look in the mirror before prancing out there with a big underwear indention in each hip? Also, the girls were pretty alert and very well positioned last night and I think she may be taking too many cues from Paula. - Oh, I loved when she sang opera with Bocelli.
Elliott - He was okay for me. I don't think I'll ever really come around to being a fan because I so dislike the wavering in his voice when he sings. I tried listening without looking at him, but it didn't matter - it's not really his looks that I dislike - it's his singing style. While he has a good voice, he over sings every song - creating too many syllables in the last word of every line.
Kellie - Wow, was that painful. I don't think that I could dislike this girl any more but my distaste for her grows each week. She sounded like she swallowed a cat and it was trying to escape. Just horrible - the singing, the outfit, the hair, the makeup. Please send this pathetic chick home.
Paris - While her vocals are usually fine, this girl has no feeling for music. I hated her performance. She has the mechanics down, but lacks any real passion for music. I remember the interview where her mom was devestated because she wanted to quit singing and I think that she only sings because her family expects her to - I don't think she really enjoys it.
Taylor - He is my favorite overall, but he stunk up the joint again last night. I think he may be over this competition and just biding his time until he can get back on a friendly stage where three indecisive tools aren't criticizing you after every performance. I actually think he may be trying to get kicked off. He was much better in his practice clips and I feel like he just lost his glow when he had to go out and perform for the show. I think he has lost sight that he is singing to America and is so aggrivated with the AI people that he is really sabotaging himself.
Chris - Yummy! He had fallen down on my scale from all of his screaming but last night was amazing. I do think that the judges pimped him a bit too much and it was way obvious as to what they were doing. I also agree with ML, the neck thing drives me nuts. Send that guy to a chiropractor to get that crick removed from his neck so I don't have to lay on my side to watch his performances. Oh, and I'm so glad he lost the wallet chain last night - either that or the coat was long enough so that we couldn't see the horrible thing.
