Got a little bit of a busy news front this morning so going to have a couple of bits of info for you guys!

• For all you Kellie Pickler fans, she is getting her own reality show produced by Seacrest on CMT.

  CMT will roll out a new reality series following Kellie Pickler and her songwriter husband Kyle Jacobs. Tentatively titled I Love Kellie Pickler, the show will chronicle their quirky he said/she said romance and lifestyle. Ryan Seacrest, Pickler's old American Idol pal, is the show's producer.
  
  "It finally feels right with the people that we’re working with [Seacrest], and having CMT as our home. There's no drama, there's no cat fights. Nothing like that," Pickler tells Rolling Stone Country. "We just want to be a bright light and make people happy — make 'em feel good and help them get away from their day a little bit."

• Next week's theme is Billboard Hits with Florida Georgia Line and Jason Derulo as mentors. They both will perform as well. Iggy Azalea will also perform with Jennifer Hudson.

Kelly Clarkson Night.....Top 9 Show



The original Idol songbook night. Is it bad to admit that I probably only know about 2 or 3 KC songs???

• Nick – I didn't catch my breath with this performance tonight.
• Jax – She made me look up tonight. There was such a beautiful quality to her tone tonight. Absolutely gorgeous!

Group performance time. Not liking this at all. The voices just don't blend well. The telling statement? Tyanna saying "It was better than rehearsal!". Says it all, Tyanna. Says it all.

• Tyanna – Never had a boyfriend was putting Tyanna in the rather vacant and soulless category for me. And it was a little shrill.
• Joey – What a surprise she's here this week. I was sure that America was going to punish her for last week’s performance. And....It's Cabaret again. Miss Independent is back in the house. I back to loving her this week; but I know she's not going to be the American Idol. She's definitely too out there for mainstream music.

Kelly Clarkson time. No one does Kelly Clarkson like Kelly Clarkson. (I still only know 2 or 3 of her songs; although I'm enjoying my crash course tonight.) You know....I think she's actually gotten better with the passing years.

• Quentin – I didn't look up. What was his performance like?
• Qaasim – Another ho hum performance. Why did they save him again?

More Kelly. She's singing her audition song? At least 2 semitones higher than in audition. Oh wow! She really is SOOOO much better with the passing years. #Own.That.Stage. Way to go, Mama!

• Clark – OMG! So glad he made it through. Another great performance tonight. Except for a Daughtry moment, can we just go straight to the final show and give Clark the title?

So…. does this twitter voting work US coast to coast?

• Baby Face Daniel – He’s so darn cute and about 3 or 4 years from being a Break Away star. If only the judges had told him to wait. It's time to cut the apron strings.
• Rayvon – How on earth do you turn Since You've Been Gone into a ballad? Well....I guess if Joey can do a jazzy version of Miss Independent, ANYTHING is possible.

Can we get rid of both Rayvon and Daniel this week?
So Baby Face Daniel gets cut this week. The surprise is that the teeny boppers didn't vote by Twitter!


Tonight, the best for me were Clark and Jax. Maybe Joey. The frontrunners are standing up to be counted this week. The rest? I sure hope they are a LOT better next week!
