bye bye malaya!
JLo looks so sad every week when somebody is voted off. But, there is only 1 winner. Everybody else goes home.
Adios, Malaya. Now, no more screeching.
Theme:
the Top Seven C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, and Sam Woolf will perform on the Competitors Pick-themed performance show. For the first time in the series history, each finalist will select a song for their fellow finalists to perform, leaving each singer with a list of six songs from which to choose.
Back to the 80s night and I was tempted to snooze through this episode as I did the decade. Is that like Back to the Future?
I still cant believe they played the save last week; but hey....the judges have spoken.
Jena/Gina I 'liked' her not-too-rockNroll version of I Love Rock and Roll. Shes become the slow burn sleeper for me of the season.
Dexter - Keep Your Hands to Yourself was about right. No touchy touchy nor feelie feelie for me tonight.
Malaya A baptism of fire with her version of Through the Fire. You ain't lighting my fire with that screechy tone.
Jessica Call Me. I'd rather not.
Sam Time after Time. Are the teeny boppers back in the house? If so, he could be safe as houses.
Alex As he sang his take on Every Breathe you Take, I held my breathe. I actually liked his version of it.
CJ An expert demonstration of the fine art of Free Falling by singing sharp and flat at the same time; yet never quite being right on the mark. Free Falling is about right....to the bottom, I hope.
Caleb I've been a faithful (but occasionally fickle) support. I feel Faithfully rewarded tonight. Can we have a Caleb vs Caleb finale?
Or at least....let's have Caleb in the finale and Harry and Keith singing Like a Virgin. Theres that Like word again; but I'd pay money to see Harry and Keith singing Like a Virgin together. Best duet of the night.
(I'm completely ignoring the other duets.)
Still watching the results show; but as I've lurked on this thread, I'm screeching at the top of my lungs here. Ding Dong the Screecher's Gong....er....gone. But why didn't TWO of them go?

Interesting thing to watch for - I know someone who works at Keith Urban's label and they said that someone there is giving Keith Urban a word each week that he works into his comments. This week it was fanny pack. He used it in critiquing Caleb.

Of course we can. Kelly Clarkson pretty well had that kind of finale.

Harry connick is such a jerk! Can't believe he had some young girl on his shoulders. He was WAY out there last night. totally took the focus off the contestants.
