Wow, all the country and Haley haters are left here to pout?

I think this season was awesome and exciting. I hated the year with Lee and Crystal. Boring!! But I watched. Didn't vote once.

This year, I love the variety, and the talent. I vote every week (for Lauren).

I LOVE the final three and I was SO excited last night when Lauren was first to be put in the top 3!!

I was then very excited to see Haley in the top 3 too. She's grown on me. Hubby's always loved her, not me so much. Now I love her too. He has bought all her songs and let me tell you the studio version of "Rollin", "House of the Rising Sun" and "I who Have Nothing" was amazing. She may not be your cup of tea, but that girl can sing and I think she's going to be huge whether she wins or not.

I, for one, am glad James is gone. I never liked him and I was shocked he made it to the top 13.

I was shocked by Pia leaving but it happens every year. Folks thought she was safe and didn't vote but she was kind of boring.

Scotty is cute and good BUT he's a dime a dozen IMHO. He could win though. We'll see.

I'm rooting for Lauren. I've loved her since the start. Voted week after week. I think she's just amazing and sweet and cute and pretty etc...

This is the first time in a long time that I'm really excited about the finale. Actually, I don't remember when I was more excited...probably Clay/Rueben (so disappointed though) and Carrie and ??, and Kelly and Justin. That's it.

Can't wait for the finale!!

Glad to know you acknowledge Haley being a brat tho I am not the only person posting on this thread yet you feel the need to single me out as being wrapped up in it. Nah...I tape it for the most part, watch it, mostly for Steven Tyler...go back to the beginning of the thread, you'll get to know us.

Personally, I don't hate country music, I actually like all genres of music & really enjoy when all genres are represented ...

The problem I have with Haley is her attitude ... her pouting, rolling of her eyes, snide comments, etc., when the judges or Jimmy Iovine give her any constructive criticism, is very immature & disrespectful ... if she can't handle what these judges have said to her, (which IMO, has not been harsh at all), how the heck is she going to make it in the entertainment business where criticism will be even tougher? ...

Which leads me to another issue regarding the judges this season ... where I do appreciate their kinder, gentler approach with the contestants this year, I also feel that it may have been a bit of a disservice to the contestants ... this was most, if not all, of the contestants first taste of what the entertainment business can be like - and it ain't all rainbows & sunshine - so the judges, IMO, should have been a little more honest with their critiques, instead of sugar coating things for them ... this way the contestants could have really gotten a true sense of what things could be like for them if they so choose to pursue a career in the business, while also teaching them how to deal, handle & cope with it all ... heck, even Paula would call a contestant out when need be & stick to her comments ...

I do think that the overall talent & variety this season was the best it has been in years ... however, now that we're down to the wire, I'm just not convinced that the Top 3 reflects the variety I was personally hoping to see in the Finale ... for me, the season started out strong, but is ending a bit weak ... but hey, maybe Lauren, Scotty & Haley will blow the roof off next week ... who knows ...

but it's all just my opinion ...

If it is Lauren , Steven Tyler is going to take full credit for that pick. He and JLo won't tick the money spending public off by being *tough judges* since they are both releasing new music and would like sales to be good. Steven is more guilty of this than JLo...but overall, I agree with Brit17, that all the gooey crits are not good in the long run. I don't think AI gives a hoot tho, just in it to get their $$$$$$$$$.

Nope. I wouldn't buy them or Jordin either. I think I've purchased about 5 idol albums over the years.

For me, yes I would. Both Scotty and Lauren if they came out with songs that I liked. When Carrie Underwood's first CD came out I wasn't immediately crazy about it, but the more songs played from it the more I liked it. I will listen first before I decide to buy.

I think Nigel certainly saw how many votes came thru for Scotty and Lauren this season and saw dollar signs out the wazoo. Not sure if that means they will throw Haley under the bus to get the country gig going with a country winner this season, or she will win so he can plug the new show saying if you want Country to win tune in to...blah blah blah. If he sees a LOT of disgruntled country fans, he will know he has a great shot at the new show.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread so what I have to say may not be relevant to the current conversation, but I just wanted to add my two cents.

I didn't watch the previous season because after the first show I lost interest. This season it seemed to me that there was some real talent, so I watched.

I can't believe the final three. Haley's attitude bothered me from the start. I think all three have talent but not final three. IMO James was robbed, I picked him to win. Don't like when he screams, but think he has a great voice. I thought Casey and Pia would be the other two in the finals - guess I don't have a clue as to how America votes.

At this point I don't care if Lauren or Scotty win. I just hope it's not Haley.
