American Idol: Season 10 PART III

The Top 3 will perform three songs next week. One will be picked by Jimmy Iovine, the judges will pick one and then the contestants will get to choose the final song.
The following week, the Top 2 will take part in the final performance show of the season on Tuesday (not Wednesday) May 24th. The finalists will again sing three songs a piece. The first will be a song the finalist sang already this season. One song will be chosen by Idol creator Simon Fuller. And the final selection will be the song the finalist wants to release as his/her first single.
Ken also says that this season's finale will be spectacular. “The finale is going to be spectacular, I can tell you that…every year we try to top the year before...We’ve had a couple of spectacular years. We’re going to top that this year.”

I always find the differing points of view interesting. What grabs one person has no effect on the other. What one person sees as arrogant, another sees as humble. What is obvious to one person is totally unseen by another. What one person sees as star quality is totally overlooked by another. Trying to convince someone that your pick is the right pick is never going to work. What you like is what you like.

I'm sure you're around like minds like most of us are. My exact scientific evaluation of my surroundings would come out completely opposite of yours, I'm sure...

This is the first year NO ONE in my office even brings up the show... and we all watch it. It's so uneventful it's like watching paint dry. But, like the appointment tv junkies we are, WE STILL WATCH IT. What is UP with that?

LOL. Just to prove you right..we talk about it at work still.

And at my sisters this weekend in another state we started to talk about it and she said her husband said something about Scotty not going far because he only appeals to teenagers. So, she asked me if I liked him and I said yes. Her response was "I told him he was wrong, he doesn't know country music and country is gonna love him" So we talked about it there too.

Ugh, that annoys me about the producers picking. Perhaps though, they picked the good looking guys to get an interaction with Paula during the show. Once Paula was gone they didn't need that Paula/hot guy element.

Some of my favourites couldn't sing but sure were good looking...lol (cough cough Ace cough cough)

I thought Ace could sing or maybe I was so busy looking at him I just thought he could.


As for eye candy. I'll agree with DC but not Michael Johns or whatever his name was.

Ya, I was never a Michael Johns fan either. Didn't like his looks or his singing. Ace had a few good songs. Father figure was really good. I don't remember anything else cuz I was probably too busy just looking too. I really liked Jason too and Bo Bice.

I guess that is why I like Dancing with the Stars so much............so shallow.

True, but it is quite an experience to get that homecoming. I got to be in the limo last year when Michael Lynche came home after Idol so it was a much smaller scale than the true Idol homecoming, but it was still CRAZY!
