American Idol on board?

Oh my goodness....we cruise next week when American Idol narrows it down to the final 2 people!! Can you actually watch it on TV? Of course, voting is out of the question because of the cost but I have to watch it!!

Probably not, remember its on FOX not ABC. Last year we were on RCI when the finals were on. I had my Tevo set and thought I would get away with not hearing the results, wrong it was all over the news. Since it is not the finals you may not hear on the news so if you tape you might get away with not knowing who is in the finals until you watch. But believe me a cruise on Disney is much better then watching AI.

Honestly, you are going to be on the ocean on the Mickey ship! We missed the final shows for Survivor & the Apprentice last December and...I didn't tape them & we never really found out what happened. I was fine with that.

I always Tivo it but we will be vacationing for 3 weeks so it won't do me any good And the Tuesday after the cruise is set for traveling by car...ohno! What was I thinking? The driving is just gonna have to start a lot earlier in the morning!!

We cruised over new years 2003-04, and they had all the bowl games on the TV (and playing in all the bars), so you should be okay. I won't ask, however why ANYONE watches American Idol. Since I got my dish, other than local news, I don't watch anything but stuff on History Channel, A & E, Biography Channel, and Travel Channel. I do wish, however, Travel Channel would redo their Disney Cruise Show since it was done about 6 years ago and it badly out of date.

WE were able to see NFL Playoff games on channels other than ABC, so if there are enough requests I bet they will put it on one of the bar tvs for you.

I am bummed that the 2 hour season finale of LOST will be on May 24th when we are in Coz. DH said "what were you thinking when you booked this cruise?" Of course we have DVR, so we will just have to watch when we get home.

We were on the Eastern and we got the NYC ABC sometimes...not always. NO CBS, FOX, NBC EVER!!!!!

We found out who was voted off Thursday morning on CNN (ONLY SHOWED A FEW NETWORKS OWNED BY DISNEY) We were in line for Disney Dreams Thursday night and someone mentioned something happening in the world some may call the real world and we shared what we knew. Everyone was hungry for Idol news. It was the week Mandisa (sp?) was voted off and everyone was in shock.

They had that one ABC, CNN, and CNN Headline, a 24-Hour sitcom channel that showed old shows like Friends, 24 hours of Toon Disney and The Disney CH, 2 Disney Kid movie channels, 4 or 5 Regular Movie channels (They showed Pride and Prejudice; Good Night and Good Luck??, Harry Potter ATGOF; Yours, Mine, and Ours, etc. (Stuff ready for or on DVD) AND THE BRIDGE CHANNEL, SHOPPING, DVC, etc....

We are NUTS about 24. I taped it on two different VCRs (one did fail!!). ((EVERYONE THINKS JACK SAVES THE WORLD EACH WEEK. THIS SEASON WE SEE THAT IT IS ALL DONE BY A WOMAN---Chole!!!!!))

One unexpected good thing that came from the cruise...I lost all interest in my SOAPS. I figure if I check back in a few years everything will be about the same as when I left them....

I will be flying to Europe on May 24 (same day as the Finale!!). I am going to TIVO it but I hope I don't get to find out who wins until I actually watch it. I sure hope that Chris wins. He rocks! I think it will be Chris and Katheryn in the finale and I am rooting for Chris....

I am a huge Chris fan, too!!! However, on dial idol they have him in last!! Nooooooo!!! I will seriously cry if he leaves tonight! I am a fan of Kat too but would rather see her go before Chris. I voted for him several times last night and always got through right away, so that has me worried too! I am scared to watch tonight!

OK - so Kat didn't do too good, I agree. Chris is still my #1 pick. Elliot I am not sure he will be on the Finale for some reason he is dull. I don't think I would buy his CD. I think personality has a lot to do with votes so I don't know who's leaving but...I think Elliot and Kat should be worried.
