Wow...bright lightning...lit up the room even though the blinds are closed and the lights are already on in here. LOUD thunder. Shook the floor. Hate it.

I love summer thunderstorms but not the one you are describing. One time when we were in Florida, we were driving on the "Bee-line" from the coast toward WDWorld and the lightning bolts were everywhere around us. It was the coolest, yet most frightening storm.

My son and I were at the World for Hurricane Frances. Other than the rain and being locked down for about 12 hours, it wasn't that bad. Of course, we weren't in an area that received a lot of damage.

That doesn't look like a New York street to me. It was probably taken before in LA. There's probably more sightings, hence the need to out them last week. I still think that whole thing was not the best PR move and now that Cook has signed with his record company, the way things are released will be more about David Cook the artist and less about David Cook, the American Idol.

Anyone with a brain working with the PTB at Idol will nip this in the bud NOW. This is BAD PR. I love David but this was a bad choice for now, even though I understand it.

I personally don't care who he dates but he should realize whoever he hooks himself to his part of his image. And no matter what anyone says about his talent, his IMAGE won him the most votes.

He seems like a smart guy. Hopefully he's thinking with the upper head!

We got blasted here Wed night...I was very very busy at work...tonight has been real quiet...but Hurricane season starts on the 1st....lucky us but we usually dont have to worry till Aug/Sept...I use to live in Illinois so I have been through some twisters and I have yet to decide which is worse a Hurricane or Twister...I know Hugo was bad....a wide path of damage...I hate to say at least but Tornadoes usually affect a smaller area but usually have way more damage in that area...so its a tuff call

I'd prefer hurricanes because you get more warning to get out of dodge. Plus, I'm used to hurricane season growing up in Florida. I know the drill.
Earthquakes and tornadoes just come out of nowhere.

Being the skeptic I am, I am starting to agree with someone else (maybe twinsinca?) who thought this was a diversion to stop questions about his brother. But then that radio interview someone posted yesterday said David's handler told them the brother and KC were now off-limit topics. So I guess the KC thing didn't turn out the way the PTB had hoped. The fact that it's another Idol alum makes me think it's a match made in publicist heaven (or the opposite place in this case.)

I just can't figure out if it was AI that encouraged the on air date asking or if it was him. It seems like a Nigel stunt. (especially with Brooke and Carly saying oh she is so nice). But, the public is not stupid. In hindsight, that kind of thing should've come out more gradually but someone was gonna start talking about it so Idol thought they'd do a preemptive on it. That's probably how TMZ got the exclusive on it. It still blew up though. His dating status should not have been question #3 on his early interviews.

I hope Cook gets some rest this week and that the press takes it easy.

But, if he is cannoodling with her anywhere and it's caught on camera, then it won't lay low. It's a double edged sword. It's his private life, but he (they, Idol) made it public. From reading the messages, I think most people feel he could do better.

Of course, there are some really crazy rabid fans who are very delusional. There's not a lot that can change their minds short of DC showing up on their doorstep. (Did anyone read Jacob's recap on TWOP from a few weeks ago?? )

I want our boy to do good and he surely doesn't need bad PR to drag him down. He deserved to win and I hope his image doesn't take a nosedive because of this.

Yeah...it's pretty stupid if people stop being fans because of the girls he chooses to date. But honestly, those are the types of people that aren't fans for very long anyway.
