Folks

For those who cross here to get back to Canada, is it usually very busy?

We usually cross at 1000 Islands, but our son just started school at Guelph and we are thinking of coming back that way in a couple of weeks to visit him on the way through.

Any info greatly appreciated.

It depends on what time you cross...avoid rush hour like the plague, it's insane There are usually quite a few booths open too. If you want quicker, look into the tunnel, it's a bit out of the way from the major highways but I always find the customs officers to be much friendlier and it usually isn't as busy

Just crossed it last Friday night and it was really busy! There's still some lane reductions on the bridge.
