Watching also. I haven‘t watched in many years, but loved this show in the beginning. Now, I am excited to ‘see’ the world again!

Is this the season where filming started pre-pandemic, was paused for over a year, and then started again? Should make for an interesting dynamic! Going to check and be sure I've got it set to record now.

Yes. Started in Feb '20, stopped and then resumes shooting Sept '21

They are the reason I'm watching this new season lol I haven't watched the past few seasons of Amazing Race but yes, definitely going to watch for them ;-)

Edit. Upon even further thought here is a poetic end to these competitors.
They're in next to last place. The end is in sight but the team behind is catching them. He's chewing her out to go faster. All of a sudden, he trips, she makes it to the end first, but the other team beats him. He causes them to be out.

Enjoyed this double episode immensely. Lots of lead changes, some clear strong teams, and equalization is happening only after the second leg.

I'm looking forward not only to episode 3, but to see what Rob and Jess have to say on RHAP. And I hope that Team Fun will be back doing videos.

The guy looked familiar so I had to look him up last night. I have seen a few of their videos. They have one out there about Gen X that I got a pretty good laugh out of

Oh my gosh! TAR is my favorite show, bar none. I loved the double episode last night. My daughter and I were laughing and yelling at the TV (especially the mail line challenge - that was so funny). Great start to the season. I'm interested to see how they handle the pandemic break from next episode to the following episode where they resumed filiming.

Seems it has become like the typical reality show where the concept initially was entertaining, then they run out of ideas to keep it interesting. After the show has been on several times, contestants already know the format and what to expect. As with any reality show, I am sure the producers try to hype up some of the personalities/disagreements to get people to keep watching. I never really got that wrapped up in who said what to whom or who looked at someone else a certain way.

I swear I totally would have been like them doubting myself that it was that easy. At the same time I feel like ripping open boxes that didn't really seem like they were meant to be and opening all that mail didn't really seem logical that they would make that part of the task unless something clued them into that.

But my husband and I couldn't stop commenting on cute that little train/subway rail type thing was. I'm wondering if my over 6 ft 5 husband would have even fit

Didn't you comment almost the exact same complaint over on the Survivor thread? Why join threads about reality shows you long since stopped watching just to comment that the reality show is just another reality show you stopped watching? I mean feel free to join in but I'm not sure you'd get much out it

Bahahaha - I told my husband that I would be Akbar and he would be Sheri if it was us on there. I do think he could have at least carried her pack for her, though. She could have moved faster then.

Ryan Ferguson won 11 million dollars in a civil suit for wrongful incarceration. Maybe if he wins the measly 1 million prize he'll plan to donate it to organizations that work on behalf of wrongly accused/incarcerated? (lol)

I just read the short version of his story. It’s incredible that could happen! I don’t know how much of that $11 million he saw, but he deserves it all and more.
