Amazing Race, Family Edition. *Official DiscussionThread*

Ah, I'm sorry to see the Paolos go. The Weavers are driving me insane. What a bunch of hypocrites.

I hope the Paolo boys are ashamed when they watch the show to see how horrible they speak to their mom at times. My DS who is 12 yo knows his dad would be all over him if he spoke to me like that. The Weavers certainly are not being great examples of Christians by the way they are name-calling, complaining, etc. etc.

Okay--that bellyflop teaser brings back ugly memories. That would be one roadblock I could NOT sign up to do.
Would that be water skiing memories? :goodvibes

Please let it be the LINZ's to win :goodvibes

I would settle for either the Linz family or the Bransons....just NOT NOT NOT the rude, crude weaver family!!!!

You must help with nicknames and descriptions ;) . The only team name that is left that I know is the weavers.
3brothers and 1 sister...they did really well at the car driving

I'm rooting for the Linz family too. Something about the Bransen's just bugs me. I feel sorry for the dad at times. I think he feels "left out" a lot.

Nope--jumping from high dive memories. basically gave myself "water"lash as the doctors so humoursly called it. If I could be guaranteed to land straight in the water--I wouldn't have a problem. However--with my jump, I landed at a slight angle, though feet first--slightly bent at the waist. The first day felt like a belly flop from 100 feet (OUCH!!!!). The second day--couldn't move my neck. So I will never jump from a "HIGH" anything again.

Though the jump itself looked like fun until he flopped. OUCH!!!

At least it seems to be a bonding experience for them :goodvibes

Please, the Weavers will watch this and still think they are better than anyone else.

I looove that they are trying to present themselves as a good "Christian" family!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Let me preface this by saying that I have never been a lover or a hater of the Weavers...until tonight that is. I can't believe they are so blind that they can't see the errors of their own ways. It's ok to dish it but they can't take it. It's a game, noone has been overly against them. Crying about how everyone is so mean to them is pathetic. Hmmmm, let me see, throwing food at another team, that's ok??? last I checked that was rude. I don't care if they are teenagers, the mother is condoning that behavior.

I'm rooting for the Linz's first, the Bransons second. The Desperate Housewives (I call them that because I don't know how to spell the last name) voices really grate on the nerves and they are pretty hard on each other especially when it comes to the map reading.

Now see I'm hoping that they view the tape and realize how they were partially if not totally responsible for the behaviors they endured. I mean, one of the Pink Girls(also can't spell their name..sorry) seemed like she was really trying to be sympethic at the go carts, but the Weavers were just so rude. :guilty:

I think there is a psychological term for what the Weavers are doing--but I can't recall it at the moment.

On would hope this would be the case--but sadly and most likely it won't be. Just as we find every thing the Weavers are doing wrong (b/c there is so much)--they will nitpick each episode and identify what EVERYONE else did wrong.

(the term would be)DENIAL!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

The Weaver family are so RUDE and OBNOXIOUS. I can't stand them. It's not just one family that doesn't like them, it's all the familys. Can't they see that they are the problem. Hope they get eliminated next week. I think that the only family there that really deserves to win this is the Linz family. They seem to have the best attitude and seem to have fun in all the tasks that they do.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm sad to see the Paolos go. They were horrible at first, but started growing on me in the last couple of weeks. They left with a really great attitude.

No--I'm talking about the one where you facilitate/allow the feelings....

ooh--it's bugging me...

The mom mostly is doing it for her kids--she's not correcting them for anything. They lost their dad and she's allowing that as an excuse for their behavior. They are Christians--so whenever they see unChristian behavior--they immediately do something unChristian.

Darn--what is that word????
