Amazing Race 3

I'm still hoping that John Vito and Jill win the whole thing. They seem to get along so well. I like Ken and Gerard too. My favorite part was when one told the other that there was a dozen glazed donuts waiting for them after rapelling. Now that's an incentive!

I was sorry to see M&K go, but it was their own fault. They should have tried to fix the problem like everyone else, not stay in a four star hotel.

I loved when Flo freaked out repelling. :teeth: I so wanted her and Zach, or Aaron & Arianne to go tonight. I was LOL when Aaron sat on the curb and cried. :teeth:

Ian is sooo incredibly rude to his poor wife. I hope they go soon, too. At least he was smart enough to fix the car himself.

Whine, Whine, Whine…let’s just quit. The younger teams really don’t have any problem solving skills and as much as I dislike Ian at least he used his head and didn’t sit down and whine and cry about it. But were there any environmental concerns in Portugal or Spain when Ian drained a whole tank of gas on the ground?

Since Michael did not know anything about cars and didn't even know he filled it with unleaded vs. diesel, they made the decision to “quit” and stay in a nice hotel and have some good food. “We were ready”, he tells Phil. As a couple, they are going to make it. They weren’t screaming at each other, blaming others, they were in it to see if they could make it as a couple when the pressure was on and they proved they could. I am happy for them and they are happy with their decision to quit. When Phil asked how this has affected their long distance relationship, Michael said, It's over...(I thought why)...then he adds, she's moving to San Diego. I cried.

I just saw Kathy & Michael on the Today Show - they are a cute couple (they sure looked cold! - can't they film these interviews indoors?!) She has moved to San Diego. When Harry Reasoner asked if they are living "happily ever after", Michael said "hey man - give us some time, it's only been a few months"! Michael also admitted that he hadn't watched the previous Amazing Race shows. Kathy said that she and her roommate were big fans of the show, & it was her roommates idea for Kathy & Michael to try out for the show.

i was surprised how many groups put unleaded fuel in their gas tanks when it clearly said diesel. at least most tried to fix the problem and not stay in a four star hotel. even if they weren't eliminated i think they used up most of their cash for that night between the room and the food. i was shocked when ian knew how to drain the fuel line. i didn't think he was that kind of guy. i am really tired of him and his wife fighting all the time though. i hope they'll be eliminated next.

I wish they could just eliminate Ian and keep his wife! What's with his "Hoo Ahh!" noise? Who does he think he is, Al Pacino? (And, if anybody can tell me the name of that movie where he makes that noise all the time, I will thank you!)

I'm glad Ken and Gerard are in 1st place, with Andre and Damon in 2nd, and Derek and Drew in 3rd. Any of those 3 groups I would like to see win.

I think this was an outstanding episode because the standings changed a lot over the course of the hour and lots of interesting things happened. I amazed that there weren't more fights with all the situations that cropped up. I liked all of the top four teams so I think it is going great. I do think it would be terribly frustrating to be stuck with a dead car in a different country in the middle of the night. I would cry too!

The movie was Scent of Woman that Al Pacino starred and said Hoo Ahh! all the time.

Yes, yes!! That's it!!

Doesn't Ian sound just like him? Ugh, I feel like smacking him in the face everytime I hear him do that. I almost feel embarrassed for him!

Thanks, Kcritter!

Only Al Pacino can use that expression as far as I'm concerned!

I still like the two brother teams, butI'm warming up to the fireman and policeman (no pun intended.)

As much as I hate Ian, I was pretty impressed that he fixed the car himself.

I have to admit he did OK. I will give credit where it is due

Sorry. Army Rangers were using it long before Al got ahold of it ;)

Hooah (who-ah), adj. U.S. Army Slang. Referring to, or meaning anything and everything except "no." Generally used when at a loss for words. Also:

1. good copy, solid copy, roger, good or great; message received,
understood.
2. glad to meet you, welcome.
3. I do not know, but will check on it, I haven't the vaguest idea.
4. I am not listening.
5. that is enough of your drivel--sit down.
6. stop sniveling.
7. you've got to be kidding.
8. yes.
9. thank you.
10. go to the next [briefing] slide.
11. you have taken the correct action.
12. I don't know what that means, but am too embarrassed to
ask for clarification.
13. that is really neat, I want one too.
14. amen.

How much do you want to bet that if it had been Ian's WIFE who made the gas/diesel error, he would have chewed her out big time! Notice she didn't criticize him at all? I suspect it would not have been the same had the situation been reversed.

I agree Kara, totally on that point!! Ian would have chewed her up one side and down the other!! Omg, I can just picture it now! I really do not like Ian and think he treats his wife like dirt sometimes...geez, what a jerk...and here he is saying, "No, It is not a diesel truck"...Bwahahaha jokes on you! LOL

I really like the Fireman/cop team, but I agree with whomever said they need to stop following everyone...that will definitely hurt them in the end!!

I think the team I don't like the most is the Wonder Twins...They annoy me for some reason! LOL

probably because they are models....and personally...they don't do a THING for me.......

I don't like them either......

Ugghhhh!! Ian would not have held her hand as they walked back to the gas station if she would have pumped the wrong gas. They have been my least favorite team from the start.....the twins I keep flip floping on...but I love the brothers...they are a hoot. Can't wait til next week.

I just looked in our TV Guide and saw that Amazing Race is being bumped once again! This time for the CMA awards program. Two weeks in a row! :(

Is it pre-empted altogether or just moved to another night? I remember last season AR and Survivor being on the same night once. I hope it's showing sometime this week. I've got to a point where AR and Survivor are really all I look forward to watching lately.

I checked tv guide.com and cbs.com and it doesn't look like it's been moved to another night. guess we'll have to wait till next week to see it. :(

I'm pretty sure it's going to be pre-empted. When they showed the previews for the next show, it said "In Two Weeks" at the bottom of the screen.
