AND Why did the whiner one drive??? She cant drive a stick.... let the other one do it..... Or is there some rule that they have to take turns driving?? :::::::: shrug ::::::::::::

Glad the old married couple finished well...... but Ian really is getting a bit loud! LOL

And I agree with others...... what did the twins do to make everyone hate them so much........

Yeah - DH & I were saying that either of those two last teams can go! Then we saw the Harvard girls in the cab! We thought - uh-oh - seeya! We wondered if they should have received a penalty for the dent they put in the pick-up truck.

Well the "Legal Eagles" are history. I coulda died the first night of the show when they fell off the donkey cart, but c'mon...you go to Harvard and you can't understand what "you must walk" means....

Not only was I happy to see the Harvard girls go, I was happy with the way they were eliminated.

Part of the show was pre-empted tonight so I missed some of the middle. Which two teams fought and who taunted who?

Those two were a classic case of someone with book-smarts but no common sense.

I didn't mind the Harvard girls leaving, but frankly, I would rather have had the other team leave. Those two are the most obnoxious two on the game and it would have served them right if they had been eliminated. I can't STAND them! I also can't stand the husband in the older couple. Why on earth is his wife still married to him? What a jerk!

What part of "walk" didn't those young women understand? I hope they are 1Ls at Harvard and improve their reading comprehension skills in the next two years. They'll have fun trying to pass the Bar exam! Fer sure.

I missed parts of the show last night, too, because of breaking news. Who fought with whom?

I think the way Ian yells at his wife and just generally behaves (at least what they show on the program anyway, who knows how this is being edited) is a disgrace.

I can't stand the married couple because of the husband. He was PROUD that he had yelled and belittled her to the finish line. sometimes the end, should not, justify the means. I think those 2 girls were so fake. They knew that they had to walk, it was obvious that they just chose to ignore it and hope for the best. That they whined that it was an accident that could happen to anyone, is such a crock!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. The girls knew they had to walk and asked the cabbie to take them back but then tried to justify their mistake to the camera (making a poor defense argument) in hopes that maybe they will be exonerated. Ha! serves them right and I hope neither of them will have to defend me in a case!

As for Aaron in Arianne. I agree with you Kara, just plain obnoxious! especially her! Although she has Ian pegged, rude, especially to his wife.

I like Derek and Drew more and more but my favorite continues to be Ken and Gerard. Did you hear the Laurel & Hardy type music the producers played when Ken and Gerard got in the boat to bring their keg of wine to the restaurant.

I like the long distance couple too Kathy and Michael. He was very supportive of her when she got that cramp in her leg.

Next week looks good with a couple teams filling their diesel vehicles with unleaded gas. Oh-oh burn that engine up! The teams are doing their share of wrecking vehicles this race!

I'm not a big Aaron and Arianne fan, but the married couple has got to go ... that guy gets on my nerves ... maybe if he got a new hat for starters ???

I like that they get bunched up at places ... it's the great equalizer and makes things more unpredictable .... sometimes it works to your disadvantage depending on who you're rooting for but it adds to the fun of watching for me .... it doesn't only happen in the airports and train stations either ..... sometimes a team in first place starts the next leg at 2 am only to have to wait until 7 am for some landmark to open ... putting people 5 hours behind them right back in the thick on things ....

As of now, I'm rooting for Ken and Gerard

I still don't know who I'm rooting for, but Ian is really ticking me off. He's one of those hotheads you don't want to be around when "something's on the line" because he'll just yell at you. Were I his wife, I would've had to smack him. His attitude would bring me down.
I'm glad the Haaavard girls got booted - what they did wasn't right and they knew it. I'm a big "go by the book" person, so I like to see sassy rulebreakers get caught.
But.. I can tell that people are starting to get kind of tired and cranky already - should be interesting in the coming weeks to see what teams get sick of each other.

Ian is a supreme jerk, and while I felt badly for his wife, I also think she isn't wrapped too tightly as well. Aaron& Arrianna are obnoxious and what is so terrible about the young twins?? Seems like a lot of jealousy directed towards them but have they actually done something to warrant the dislike?

I like Ken & Gerard. At least so far they are not battling each other and have shown decency & fair play which is lacking in many of the other team.

Did you see that Ian's wife pushed the wine barrel up from the boat ramp? What's up with that guy? And WHY does his wife put up with it? Maybe she wants to win the $$$, then get 1/2 in a divorce settlement

Ken and Girard are my favorites now, then the twins. All the young teams are so obnoxious - giving meaning to the term "Ugly Americans". The firefighter and policeman don't seem to be doing well, I would've expected them to do better under a stressful situation. I don't dislike them, they just aren't my favorite team. I miss the father/son team - they weren't ugly to anybody and had a good attitude (I don't think they could've won - but I enjoyed watching them)

I like Ken and Gerard and the twins too. Does anyone remember the twins' names? The animosity directed at the twins doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

They are sexy, strong, handsome men who are usually in first place. What is there not to hate? Personally, they're my favorite team .

The married couple has got to go. I would never let my husband treat me the way Ian treats Terrie.

I like the twins, especially Ken and Gerard, but I also like John Vito and his girlfriend (i can't remember her name.) They seem to really appreciate each other.

Since the female competitors seem to gripe about the twins too, I guess that I can't imagine being bothered by two gorgeous hunks running around out there if I was competing. But that's just me.

Oooh, I can't believe I missed this thread until now. I'm so glad I found it- DH doesn't "get it" when it comes to the show.

I have to say I am glad the Harvard girls got the boot, they were so whiny when he broke the news, ha ha ha. I just wanted him to tell them when they got there to check in, like, "Heather and Eve, you are the first team to arrive (short pause to let them celebrate) but since you did not complay with the rules you have been eliminates" Hee hee hee, that would have been nice. Everyone had to know they didn't walk it. I would have been happier to see Teri & Ian get eliminted though. I can't stand the way he treats her. Makes her do everything while he stands around and belittles her and then he has the nerve to brag about his behavior when they make it to the checkpoint. What a jerk. I hope they are next to go. And I hope her first stop when they get home is at a divorce lawyer's office, or at the very least, she drags him to anger management and couples counseling. Can't wait for next week, when I hope my favorites, Ken & Gerard will keep moving up
