Amazing Race #22, NON-spoiler thread!

:thumbsup2

I cried at the end! I wanted B & A, but did love M & B! Just glad it wasn't M & K. ick.

Exactly!!! Especially M, M just creeped me out every episode with the bragging and mocking other teams, being mean. I was laughing every time M got hit in the head last night with the ball. What a tool!!

I am SO glad that Bates & Anthony won. :cool1: They truly lucked out with finding their "secret agent" so darned quick!

And their "meeting with the President"... :happytv: The way that note was written - and had I been in their shoes - I sure would have thought I'd really be meeting the Pres too. But as I was watching, my armchair quarterback in me was thinking there's just NO WAY they can coordinate something like THAT!! And then that address.. 1100 Pennsylvania Ave? Why does that not sound right for the White House?!? :scratchin

It was definitely a good break for Bates and Anthony, finding the briefcase so quickly, but I'm glad they won.

I think the TAR creators have to think hard to come up with good final challenges each season because it seems like the teams are getting more and more savvy about keeping detailed notes about everything.

Glad they won, couldn't stand Max and Katie, so would have been happy with any of the others to win. Was kind of rooting for Mona and Beth more, because they were "regular" people, but was happy the guys did too. They seemed genuinely nice. :thumbsup2

I just wish that Beth had gone back with Mona to figure out what was wrong with the Titanic meal.

I kept saying that to my kids, after awhile I would have gone back with her. They would still be there if the hockey guy did not say there was a list.

i had the hockey brothers in the office pool, so that made me extremely happy. However, I probably would have been rooting for them anyway. :thumbsup2

No kidding! I was kind of rooting for them since they were the underdogs, but just seeing how stupid they were on that challenge, I was like forget it -- I almost felt like rooting for Max and Katie for a brief second because they were the only ones working together and thinking about it. And then how Mona and Beth had the cab take them to the White House when the address was 1100 PA Ave. :confused3

Anyhow, Bates and Anthony completely deserved to win. They played a good game and were good guys, to boot.

Max is a piece of work. He was "relieved" to find out he wouldn't be meeting the POTUS because he's a republican? Whatever!

Im happy Max & Katie didn't win, I was probably in the minority here and rooting for the "YouTubers".The thing is I have been a subscriber of Joey's before I knew he was on The Amazing Race (which I'd also been a fan of before I knew Joey would be on it). I do think Joey was being himself (which is over the top), he comes from a pretty hilarious family and comes across the same way on YouTube.

Did anyone else notice the "In Memory of" at the end of the finale? Anyone know who that is?

ITA! I really wanted Mona and Beth to win, but OMG they just made it so hard on themselves and for others to want them to win. The dinner thing was just insane. For whatever reason Mona, just couldn't think it was even a possibility that she was doing something wrong, she could only think that Beth kept serving the stuff to the wrong ppl. every time:rolleyes:

I know most don't and didn't like Max and Katie, and although I really didn't like Max, at least Katie was smart. She was by far the stronger one in that team. Max would have never made it anywhere near the end if it wasn't for her. I thought it was funny at the end when Max threw her a ball of South America and she looked at it and goes "this is South America...we didn't go to South America" Lol.

I did a google search and I think he was a helicopter pilot that had worked on the show. I certainly may be wrong, though!

You are correct. I googled it also. He worked for Amazing Race until 2010 I believe, and recently had worked for Biggest Looser.

Woo-Hoo - so glad that Bates & Anthony won! I stayed up and watched AR late since I had to watch the Sharks beat the Canucks!

Mona & Beth grew on me. They had a point - they had a speed bump and got U-turned and still were in it.

I know! I loved it every time he got hit. He was one of the nastiest people, creepy and mean-spirited all at the same time.

Max is a piece of work. He was "relieved" to find out he wouldn't be meeting the POTUS because he's a republican? Whatever!

He said several times he loved Rush! YUCH!

I was really happy that Bates and Anthony won. They were so uobeat the entire time. Thye ran the Race but they were not cut-throat.
