Ages ago someone pointed me in the direction of this book:

Pirates of the Caribbean : From the Magic Kingdom to the Movies

Anyway, i forgot all about it until yesterday when we were in Forbidden Planet in Bristol and I saw it! It was on special, reduced from £16.50 to £13.40 but when we got to the till it rang through at £9.78 - the guy seemed bemused at the price drop but let it go through anyway!

The book is awesome - loads of stuff about the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and how it relates to the film plus the history of the ride in all parks with tons of glorious pictures. Being that the film is most true to the Paris version there is lots about that in the book.

Along with From Sketch to Reality, one of my favourite books to own.

Ooooh, that book sounds fantastic. *adds to Christmas list* :teeth: Is it quite easy to get hold of?

ETA: Could have answered my own question by just searching on Amazon, because here it is! :)

Great deal Steve. Think I might add this to my Amazon wish list and leave copies lying around the house :)

Just so happens I saw this when I was in Florida and took a brief look. I immediately decided it was right up my alley (so to speak) and proceeded to make a number of very loud hints about it to DW for the rest of the holiday. I wonder what I might get from Santa this year? Here's hoping...

If you can shout louder in our direction that would be helpful ;)

Well, let's just say this - I know she bought 'something' for me while we were over there that she has since squirrelled away. And while we were packing the suitcases there was one bag I was told not to look in, so I'm fairly confident...

Of course, if it turns out not to be what I think it is, I'm sure I'll enjoy what I get anyway and there'll just be an extra purchase from Amazon in the new year to make!
