AMAZING article on DVC Hawaii with pics

I have stayed at the Marriott Ko Olina next door and it is a fantastic area. The lagoons are well groomed and not crowded at all. The environment is extremely friendly and quite a welcome experience to the insanity that is Waikiki. The Dole Plantation (and Dole Whip) is not too far away and you have convenient access to the North Shore. The wife and I are EXTREMELY happy they decided to build in Ko Olina as it is the only area on Oahu we will ever consider staying at.

Thanks for the info...the Q&A piece was even better than the photos

The article is nothing but "spin". I've been to that area, and it needs "spin" to make it seem "ideal".

As defined in the first two entries in Urban Dictionary, spin is "a lie which has somehow been legitimized by an uneducated public," or "to present an incident in a particularly slanted or biased manner."

Do you really feel the article is "nothing but 'spin'"?

The article is nothing but "spin". I've been to that area, and it needs "spin" to make it seem "ideal". Nope, I was always hoping for a Hawaii DVC, but this location and a high rise is NOT what I was hoping for. I'll stick to my trades out for Hawaii or pay cash. I'm sure I'll use Aulani for an occational night, but I don't see myself vacationing there at all.

I guess this is one more example of how DVC has something for everyone. I stayed at the Marriott Ko Olina next door, also, and loved the location. We liked being out of the "city" but within a short car ride to wherever wanted to go. To each their own!
