What is the Disney Parks INSIDEARS site?
Hi Mahorn! Disney InsidEARS is an online community started by the folks at Disney Parks earlier this year. From their site: "The Disney Parks InsidEARS Program is designed to allow Disney Parks enthusiasts the opportunity to share online planning tips and Park memories based on their vacation experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort."
It is part message board, part Disney News central. The site itself is still in the Beta testing phase, so they limited the number of invitations they sent to about 1,000. I am not sure what the long term plans are for this site, but I have enjoyed my time there.![]()

I've seen some posts about the possibility that a computer program is used for the first round i.e. if any of the multiple choice questions are wrong, the application doesn't move forward and also possibly that "key words" are used to assess the 100-word question. Does anyone know if this is true? Any thoughts on what the key words would be? ... pixie dust, magic ...
Like many of you I felt that 100 words was very short and feel like I didn't get enough personal info across as I really tried to stick to the question BUT it would be very difficult for them to wade through everyone's stories at this stage - 14000!

I was reading an article about computer tracking and grading on a similar process as the application. It went as far as saying that once you have logged in, the website can track if you went to other sites and used the key words..I.e. to look up answers on Google, Wikipedia, etc. It's used for schools that do online testing for students. eek! :/ Glad I actually knew all the multiple choice answers and didn't need to look them up!

I wouldn't think looking/checking on an answer would disqualify you. No one can know everything, and to me, being able to "research" and find the correct answer is just as good. I'll bet even the panelists get questions they may not know right away, and have to look for the answer.
I agree with this. No one knows everything about WDW--there are too many layers and bits of info. I think they are checking to see whether people are careful about verifying information before answering. I am sure this is a daily part of a Moms Panel member's job. In my opinion, for a job like this, looking up the answers would be seen as the right thing to do.
I am still using my cute little pink MMC lunch box that they sent out as "consolidation" prizes and the MMC magnets are on my fridge.
