I only received the first email. Maybe the second one arrives after it has been routed to the person who will read it. Who knows? I checked, and the DMP page says that it has received my app, so I am not going to worry on this too hard.

Has it ever closed early due to reaching the cap?

They did the very first year. I know this because I was on a cruise when applications opened. I came home ready to apply before the deadline, but could not due to them reaching capacity.




It wasn't even a Disney Cruise.

Ok, I know we aren't supposed to discuss questions too much before apps are closed, but I'm freaking out about the Dole Whip question.

I put "soft serve" because of this listing on the WDW website http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/listing/ referring to it as "soft serve ice cream" and because I know there is no actual pineapple in it, just juice concentrate. I felt uneasy because I've heard it's special non-dairy ice cream, but I went with my gut anyway. Now I've looked into it more and seen a lot of stuff about how it really shouldn't be called "ice cream." It's making me nervous. I really hope Disney will take either answer, since there "technically" is no ice cream and there "technically" is no pineapple, but both ingredients are mentioned, one on the Aloha Isle restaurant listing, and another on the Aloha Isle signage...

I haven't gotten an email confirmation in my Inbox or my Spam Box. When I go to the MMC site and log in it does tell me that I have already admitted an application so I am hoping that it went through ok.

The travel dates would be awesome since it would be starting on my birthday. Maybe the the fifth, or sixth, time will be the charm.

I agree, but looking back on it now, it seems like a very misleading question. I know it's too late for us, but if there are some who haven't put their apps in yet they may want to try to get clarification from Laura...

Just came home last night from a long weekend for the Night of Joy 2012 concerts with my husband... woke up to find it was application day! I have applied the last 3 years, making it to round 2 the last two times- hoping the 2013 panel is the lucky year! Hopefully I carried home just enough pixie dust to make this a magical year . I applied to the DVC panel, I can't tell you how much DVC has enhanced my life... changed the way we vacation and how we can share it with family and friends.

We just got home yesterday too! Hope you had a blast. I checked the page everyday of our trip just in case and was so excited when i saw it was time this morning! i applied to WDW for the 2nd time! Good luck! lots of pixie dust heading your way!

I also applied for runDisney.
I wasn't sure if I was going to apply again this year but I figured Why Not? Worst case scenario is I'm told no. And I don't really expect to be picked anyway because the odds are stacked against me. Anyway it's fun to try! And I have 2 runDisney trips already planned either way - so it's a win-win!!!

That would be great and I answered the same way you did. My thinking was that "soft serve ice cream" is not an ingredient, which was what the question asked for. Hoping that was the right way to answer!

I applied again too. I was going to go for DVC but chose WDW instead. 2 of my last 3 vacations were for Disneyland and even though I used my DVC points for all 3, I didn't stay in a DVC room for any of them. But I have taken over 17 vacations in the last 6 years most all using DVC points. Is till chose WDW.

The only thing that has me nervous now is that when I had DVC marked I had this question

"• In 100 words or less, tell us about your own Disney Park planning experience and how you help others plan"

Was that a DVC questions or a general WDW question ? Was the specialized question on the 2nd page ?

I also have to say that I LOVED the Dole Whip question.

WOW! What an overwhelming realization! So, I've never really thought about even attempting to apply before, being that I'm not a mom, until a Facbook friend told me I HAD to this year, and then sent the link to me this morning! That's the same question I had for applying to the WDW panel. Wondering if that's what they asked for both? I have to say, I had NO idea until I got on here (Dis) how hard it actually is to try to make it though to the next round! I'm having doubts now, and second guessing myself! I feel like I didn't answer correctly, or my 100 words didn't hold a candle to what others have/will say.

We have received your application to apply to become a member of the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel. You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your application shortly.

I never got a second one, so I was kind of confused about that!

I said "Pineapple", but then I realized that Aloha Isle doesn't just make pineapple, but other flavors as well...SO maybe they will count my answer as wrong, since it's a soft serve treat. When I THINK of Dole Whip, I THINK pineapple, but I agree that it was a tricky question. Oh well! All I can do is wait...and the sad thing is, I haven't been to WDW since last Sept (JUST BARELY made it in the frame!) and we have no trips planned right now. DH's bday is the first week of Dec, and I've been BEGGING him to let me plan a trip for his bday! We've gone twice during that week and we LOVE it! I'll be very depressed if we don't have a trip, and I get rejected as well.
