A quiet day at work - aaaahhhhh! Do I see you leaning back in your chair, hands behind your head, eyes closed, your feet up on the desk?? :p Hey, if you can get away with it during breaks, I highly recommend it! ::yes::

I like the idea of working out tomorrow morning after you and DH get some much-needed rest, instead of pushing tonight and doing just a mediocre workout. Listen to your bodies!

Your weekend sounds relaxing and not too packed with activities. I hope you enjoy it!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
 
Good Morning! We got the two BBQ's today so it is going to be a busy day! Plan so far:

B: egg and cheese sandwich on an english muffin.

L: Probably something light like Tuna Salad.

BBQs: Sticking to meats, fruits, and veggie platters.

My liver hates me after this weekend. ::yes::

I got the scale out this morning to see the damage done - not bad and holding steady at 154 lbs so I'm not going to complain to much about that.

But it is back to the drawing board this morning. I need to get back into the low carb groove so that I can start getting back on the losing weight train! LOL!

Plan for today:
B: Protein Bar - 4 carbs and Diet Soda - 0 carbs
L: Tuna Salad on Whole Wheat Crackers - 12 carbs
D: ?? I'm thinking grilled chicken breast in Alfredo Sauce w/ Grilled Veggies.

Exercise: If we do not have a business meeting tonight then we will be walk - 6 minutes and run 4 minutes for 3 reps. If we do have the business mtg then no exercise tonight we'll have to do it tomorrow.

You're doing good, Amanda! It looks like you've found a way to satisfy those cravings without giving in to an overload of carbs - way to go!! :sunny:
 
I still feel like I ate to much yesterday but I am trying to not beat myself over the head with it. The cravings last night were so strong that I actually had to leave the house. I took my library card and headed there to check out some books. I got some financial books, The South Beach Diet, and an easy romantic read. Hopefully these will keep me somewhat distracted in the evenings.

I read a couple chapters of the S.B. Diet last night and it is really interesting. I am going to try to follow phase 1 for as much as I can for 2 weeks - but I have to admit that I have peaches in the fridge calling my name. :)

B: 1 fried egg w/ a slice of cheese
L: Alfredo Shrimp over Cauliflower (I'm out of broccoli)
S: ??? I'll find something though
D: Pork Chops, Green beans,
S: Sugar Free Jello

Exercise tonight! And I'm actually looking forward to it! :)

I'm just checking in with you. It sounds like you are doing good and made it through the long holiday weekend well.

I think it's great that you are considering following South Beach. I love it and even though I do a combo of South Beach and Atkins, I mostly follow SBD. I invite you to join us on our South Beach thread on the main WISH board. We would love to have you!

Okay so far so good. And again I just have to say that for you low carbers - if you have not tried Lisa's shrimp alfredo recipe you need to do it. Tonight! It is the best thing I have eaten on this diet and that is no lie! Yummy!

So far today I've stuck to plan. My lunch was of course delicious not quite as good as when I poured it over broccoli but still really yummy. I still have lots of sauce left over so I may pour it over my greenbeans tonight and see how that turns out.

For a snack this afternoon I brought a small peach - I know that I am going to need a sugar fix about 3pm and I figured I would come prepared. I've been whooshing all morning - I've been hitting the bathroom about twice an hour - and it is very annoying.:drinking: :drinking: :drinking: but I am also glad to be flushing out this water weight.

L: Shrimp Alfredo over broccoli
S: Peach
S: last of Shrimp Alfredo (only a couple of bites) and 2 thin mint cookies
D: Pork Chop, 1 cup of Greenbeans and 1/3 cup of stuffing

Walk/Run 2.5 miles in 30 minutes = 12 minutes per mile at that pace we would finish the marathon in 2 hours and 36 minutes.

Good Morning Everyone. I am so tired this morning that I overslept. I had trouble getting to sleep last night. I've been stressing about some things and it took awhile to quite my mind last night so that I could fall asleep.

Plan for today:
B: Protein Bar and a 20 oz. Diet Mt. Dew ( I need the caffine!)
L: Tuna Salad
s: Peach or Grapes
D: I'm thinking DH and I might head to PF Changs - we have a $40 gift certificate and both of us have been craving Chinese food lately.

I'm feeling a bit sad today - for no real reason, I just want to lay in bed with the covers over my head.

Dear Amanda, I'm sending a :hug: for you, sweetie! I'm sorry you're feeling down :( - wish I could be there in person to cheer you up!

Your workout last night was amazing! You and Brian are doing so well! Maybe exercising later in the day is making it harder to fall asleep? I also know that whatever is on my mind weighs heaviest when I'm in the DZone - hopefully things will be looking up for you soon.

If you ever need to chat, just let me know! We can always meet online for an IM session. I predict that a package will arrive tomorrow that will help to lift your spirits. :sunny:

Recap for so far - remember I said I was starving this morning - well about 11:30 things went crazy.

B: Protein Bar - 4 carbs
S: 1 hersheys kiss
L: Chicken Ceaser Salad Wrap from Crazy Bowls and Wraps
810 calories (can you believe it!) and 20g of Fat. - they do not list the carbs so I have no way of knowing the carb count.
D: Going to PF Changs for dinner. I'll be having lettuice wraps and anything else I can find on the menu as low carb.

D: 2 lettuice wraps (fairly good for you) my main dish was Ground
Spicy Chicken with Egg Plant - I ended up hating it. Is there nothing worse then ordering something and disliking it? I had this with a little bit of brown rice. Since I hated dinner so much I ordered the Spring Bannana Rolls and enjoyed every bite.

I ate to much today - and I know a lot of it has to do with being on my period (TMI - I know!) and our exercise program. I am going to have to find away to increase my eating on days after we run without increasing the carbs.
