Amanda & Eric 03/03/10- WP/WHP/Sago Cay Centerpiece Ideas!

Well I think you know most of us are here to support you

While some might not agree with your choices, it is your wedding and you should do what you want. However, I think that people offer suggestions, because they want you to have a beautiful wedding, not because they are rude.

Now, since Eric wants the pink tie and you want Jazzy in pink (which, I have to say is my favorite color) what if you do what was suggested and use blue as a small accent?

You could add small blue crystals to Jazzy's bouquet and maybe small accents in the other floral. You could still do your bouquet but do a green ribbon and then maybe add some pink to it (even if you just do small pink crystals).

I found the cake below. Instead of the blue and green, you could do pink and green. The flowers could be the blue flowers from you bouquet. I don't like the topper of the cake, so you could do flowers or even rhinestone letters.

Gone for a long weekend, and look how much I miss! :rotfl: Just so you know... I was very bored this evening and was trying out different flower/cake combos in photoshop. I found it very entertaining. :)

Seems that you have changed the colors a bit again, with pink and green being the main focus (according to your latest inspiration board at least!) with blue accents. Personally, I love all the three colors. While some say that they may not go together, I think they do. Pink, blue, and green are often used in spring weddings, but what is nice about yours is that they are more muted, so it is something different. Here is just a quick little palette I put together to help with my photoshopping adventures:

The first thing I fiddled with: the bouquet. A lot of people have offered various suggestions on how to incorporate the three colors in, so I thought I would make some examples. I, personally, am a visual type, so this helped me at least! :rotfl:

What I did (lightened the blue ribbon to somewhat match your newer color, made the pink ribbon a bit less intense, and swapped in some pink flowers):

And you thought you were confused about what you wanted before! :rotfl:

Next, the cake. I still really dig that one, so I fiddled with the colors on it.

Changes (While changing the ribbon color, I though the brown looked nice with it, a nice neutral, so here it is along with pink piping):

Personally? I think bouquet wise, having the blue flower/blue ribbon combo doesn't really pop as much as it could. Of course, you could incorporate the pink Mickey crystals in this combo to spice it up a bit. I like the white flowers being swapped out for pink, as someone suggested. It is fun. :)

Cake wise, I like the green ribbon with pink piping. If you still wanted to incorporate blue somehow... why not cover the cake table in blue petals? I think that is a nice, simple way of having all three colors there, but not overwhelming the cake design itself. :thumbsup2

And that was my evening. Now I must find something else to do! :rotfl:

Edit: I am the typo queen! :rotfl:

Thank you. I know that some people aren't trying to be rude....but I know that some are. I appreciate the help and advice.

Ok you are amazing!!! That helped more than you know. Personally I love this:

I also like this one, but I like the one above a bit better because it focuses more on the pink and green with blue as an accent!

Sarah you are the best!!!

I like the second bouquet the best, followed by the third. The third works best if you want to match Jazzy's pink bouquet and do the blue as just an accent.

Oh Sarah those are cute! I like the last ones. If I hadn't purchased mine already... LOL you can come and help me anytime!!! Who needs biochem????

Off to bed girls. Will try and post a pic of my shoes tomorrow (undyed)

I must have missed that post... haha. Oh wells! I enjoy online shopping. :P

Ok I think that bouquet is beautiful with the pink flowers instead of blue and the blue ribbon. Even the one with both pink and blue in it would work. It ties the pink and green combo into you too.:thumbsup2

I like the cake with the pink piping as well. I am sure once it isn't a photoshopped pink it will be beautiful!:rotfl:

Wow I signed off last ngiht to go to bed and then i get on here this morning and this thread was buzzing!!!!:goodvibes

First, Mandy I think after all the comments of support you've gotten from people like me, jazzy, dhay, and toni you know who the real DISers are and that this is generally not a place for negativity. Today is a new day so lets move forward and ...... Just keep planning, just keep planning..... :cutie:

Ok so I LOVE the cake with green ribbon and pink pipping!!! So awesome! :yay:

I love the bouquet with the pink accent color flowers in it. I think it'll tie in with Jazzy's pink bouquet and it'll go great in the WP. :thumbsup2

As far as shoes... I think its so fun having brightly colored shoes!!! You're inspiring me to maybe put hot pink shoes on my BM with the navy dress!!! (take that non - colorful people!:cool2:) Oh and i am SO wearing hot pink shoes under my wedding gown!!!

I've already bought my wedding shoes but I am now totally going to look for a new coloured pair!

The bright colors sound fun to me!
I'm kind of like this; if it makes you smile: go for it!

Ohhh Pink with Navy would be soo cute! There are so many cute color combos out there. While I was searching last night I found green, black and white...navy and yellow, periwinkle and yellow. No wonder I have a hard time!!

And P.S. I LOVE pink shoes!!

I've already bought my wedding shoes but I am now totally going to look for a new coloured pair!

Lol what color?

The bright colors sound fun to me!

Thanks!

Yeah, I was even too lazy to photoshop all of the smaller brown spots pink! :rotfl:

Oh that's ok!! I still love the way it looks! Good enough for me to get the idea:cool1:

You know what's pretty? The colors in your wedding countdown clock. LOL Seriously, they are beautiful together. I love your colors, I'm so sorry if my thoughts on the cake colors hurt your feelings.

On the one count wonder poster, just ignore them and they'll go away. They're obviously someone in disguise or here just to start trouble or rain on your parade. Those kind of posters crave attention and the best things to do is not give it to them.

Oh I love the colored shoes, way too cool. For the record, I wore decorated white sneakers(they were beautiful my mom did them) my skirt was so full you couldn't even see my feet and I had a butt bow, looking back I still love it all!

There are SO many cute color combos... I love my colors..LOVE... but I'm starting to want multiple weddings so I can use all of the other color combos I LOVE! :lmao:

Sarah you are a rockstar! I love how you did all of that photoshop work! Everything looks beautiful!

I love the one with the blue ribbon and the pink flowers, the cake looks great as well. Pink and green with blue accents would look really pretty, especially since your main colors seem to be pink and green with the shoes and dress. . . love the pink shoes (I'm buying pink ballet shoes for my reception), we'll start an epidemic of pink shoe brides :rotfl:

What if you used green cymbidium orchids? I asked for purple throats but I think you can ask for pink throats ...that would give you the green and the pink in your floral..but I am also very partial to green orchids
