Amanda & Eric 03/03/10- WP/WHP/Sago Cay Centerpiece Ideas!

And I tweaked our inspiration board a bit...

I think you fixed what wasn't working in the other inspiration board. I think once your bouquet has pink it in somewhere that everything ties together much nicer in this board. I love my bouquet in this one too. Are those Calla's? Is there some way to give Eric something blue on him too? I don't know...maybe in his boutonniere like this:

It is kind of a crappy picture of a not so great boutonniere but it is the same flower in your bouquet and kind of gives you the idea of what it would look like. I think it would work.

I like the new bridal canvas and that cake looks awesome! Congrats on being Debt free darlin!

Ok so I don't have photoshop anymore so ignore my awful paint attempt!!

The pink just isn't matching with the blue/green for me, maybe it's the shade? I love the shades of blue & green together, beautiful.

CONGRATS on being debt free!!!

I really like the new shade of blue you picked; it looks better with the green dress. :thumbsup2

I think Toni's idea for small accents in your bouquet is brilliant. IMHO, if you are going to do three colors, then one should be am accent only. So, I would focus mainly on the geen and blue (since you love that bouquet so much) and just add small pops of pink (accents in the flowers, small accents on the cake. I would not have Jazzy wear pink shoes at all. Instead, it would look great with a metallic shoe).

I like the green tie (the larger one though; the one on the board looks a bit lime). I also like the idea of Eric in a blue tie (if you want him different) and green flower.

The pink is still a bit vibrant with the other colors; can you find one along the same lines as the new blue??

I was actually thinking about the two things you mentioned...Eric's tie and Laurens shoes.

I don't know that I can get Eric to wear a blue tie, he has his heart set on pink :rotfl: Plus I love the idea the pink and green with Lauren.

Hmmm...have to think about it some more.

Oh I kinda like that!! Not sure I would love the blue with the pink...but maybe if I get him to wear a blue tie with a green bout...not sure!

Oh and my shoes just arrived!! I got free shipping with them (making them totally worth the price!) And they are perfect!!! I can't wait to take a pic of them...I actually can't wait to get them dyed!!!

I had second thoughts on posting. I did not want to hurt your feelings. It's your day and you should wear what you want and have others wear what you want them to wear.

Ok that was just wierd..... I'm going to say what i've always thought is some great advice to live by.... "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"

I will never understand why people need to leave nasty comments on a Wedding PJ. I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion and that there will be opinions I disagree with...but wth is so controversial with my PJ that it needs to turn into that.

This is my dream wedding...to the man I have looked for my entire life. I tend to be a little OCD and sometimes a perfectionist. So I admit, I have had a hard time making up my mind because I now know that I finally found my soul mate, I want everything to be perfect. Just because I am having trouble making up my mind doesn't mean it's ok to be nasty.

IMHO I think the pink shoes with the green dress will look hot! I've always loved pink and green together though. I obviously don't know you, but you seem to have a very fun personality and I think the hot pink is something you're going to be very happy with once your wedding day comes. Don't let anyone upset you! :flower3:

I totally agree! :thumbsup2 I've seen color combinations like that ALOT in bridal magazines lately and I think it'll go great with Mandy's personality too! No matter what, its your wedding and you can wear tin foil for all I care just as long as you' and your man are happy!

hahaha.... wedding gown made of tin foil.... :rotfl2:

Ummm, where was I nasty?? My original comments before I deleted them were that I did not think it was a good idea to have pink shoes with a green dress. It just doesn't look good. I also commented (as a few others have) that the first dress fit your MOH much better. It was a better all around fit and it worked much better with your dress. If you put it out there for people to see, you better expect that some aren't going to agree with your choices. But they are your choices, which is why I refrained the first time. Sorry if you consider that nasty and I do wish you well.

The comment wasn't directed to you...it was your remark that you removed your comment as to not hurt my feelings. There have been several commentes throughout my PJ where people seem to be VERY opinionated about my choices. I love the input and advice, but don't always appreciate the attitude that goes along with the comments.

Thank you! I am just overwhelmed with some of the decisions lately. There has been times where I just want to give Disney a pic of that bouquet and tell them to do it all for me!

Lol thanks!!

And thanks for that mental image!

I don't think it's bad to change your mind. Making a decision is hard an you should really think about what you want before buying anything.

If Eric really wants pink, then what about doing mainly pink and green with blue as the accent. You could still have that bouquet, but then make everything else pink and green with a touch of blue (such as the blue crystals in Jazzy's bouquet). You could add a few pink flowers or pink crystals to your bouquet)
.
Eric would still wear the pink tie (if he truly wants that, then I would make sure he gets it since it's his wedding too :)), the groomsman would wear green.

Voice of reason with the suspicious 1 post- Matchy matchy weddings are sooo 2000 thankyouverymuch. I think pink shoes and a green dress would complement nicely.

Lol well I tried...He has his heart set on pink. You know what I think my problem is...I love everyone's wardrobe (and my flowers!!) But I can't see how it all works at the reception.

One of my favorite things, besides my bouquet, is picturing lauren in that fabulous green with pink shoes and a pink bouquet. I know some people like everything matching but I love the colors I have picked!

Don't worry Mandy. I changed my mind a few times with colors. I knew I wanted pink but it took me a while to figure out what to put with it. I think I changed to green about a month before my wedding. :rotfl:

You have to do whatever makes you happy. Don't worry about what anybody else thinks.

And THAT is all that matters! At the end of the day, as long as you and Eric are happy with your choices, the wedding will be perfect. :goodvibes I was just telling this to a friend of mine who was concerned whether we, the BMs, loved our dresses. I told her, it doesn't really matter how we feel about the dress...if she loves them, and they fit the vision she has, then they're perfect.

And I think Lauren looks great in the dress you chose...and pink and green is a very classy (and classic) color combo. I mean...have you been to a country club lately?!? ;)

I'm a big believer in everyone being entitled to an opinion....except weddings! The only two people that matter are the bride and groom. And if you don't agree with a bride's choice, do it differently on YOUR day. And that is not directed at Voice~of~Reason specifically...because there have been a few people who have been kind of rude in their disagreement.

Okay...off my soapbox. I just have so many friends getting married this year and there have been so many nasty opinions from people who don't really matter...just sort of tired of it!

Clearly I don't like matchy matchy. My wedding is an example. I meant to imply it is 2000 as in 9 years ago. Not as in it is a current trens. The previous poster mis read my post. I think the pink and green complement nicely. As long as colors don't clash and the complement and you like them that is all that matters.

Thank you. I know that's important...but I want it to look nice too. Sometimes I think we get consumed in the details!!

I know exactly what you mean. I have done my best to push aside nasty comments (especially from people who don't even know me!) You girls have been so wonderful. Today was just a bad day and I let stupid stuff get to me. I don't have the TIME or ENERGY to spend on posters like that. Thank you!!

I got what you are saying. My ideas haven't always been perfect or what I pictured in my head. But that's part of why I like the dis. I can come here and kinda talk outloud about my ideas and get feedback. I know it's not always positive, but I just don't understand the nastiness:confused3
