DS is begging me to take him on SB this year which is April 5-9. We always go in late May, mid-Feb or mid-October. Can I please hear from some of you who have gone in April? We are not "all day at the parks" people - usually go early in the a.m., eat lunch at a park and return to the YC for pool time and then head back out around 6.

Thanks for whatever advice you can offer.

We went 2 years ago right at Easter and never felt frustrated by crowds. We used Early Entry everyday, left the parks around noon, and then headed back at dinnertime. With that strategy we never waited in line more than a few minutes. Fastpass also really helped. We ate our meals early--11:00 am for lunch and 5:00pm for dinner so we didn't have a problem with that either. I thought it was a wonderful time to go because the weather was so pleasant!! If you are organized and have a plan of action, I think you'd have a fantastic SB!

I don't have a calender for next year handy-- so I'd have to say Easter will play a part in those dates. We went last year (2002) the week right Easter--- we arrived the Friday after Easter. It was pretty decent. Still crowded, but managable. It was really hot though.

Next year, Easter is April 11. It is always very crowded the week before Easter and the five-days following Easter. Crowds start to ease up on Friday. Several cast members have told me that it is more crowded the week before Easter. This past Easter trip, the average wait time was almost an hour at a lot of the popular attractions. FP was gone by early afternoon on many attractions. The Thursday after Easter, we found BB turning people away by 10:30 am.
Because of SB, we always have to go Easter Week. Just plan ahead and you will have a great time. The parks are open late, which is a plus.
