Am I the only one that starts watching ALL the Disney movies I can about a week before we leave. I feel like it sets the mood.  :wizard:

I'm right there with you! Except I start probably a month ahead of time. Actually, I'd watch Disney movies every day if I could! :happytv:

By the way: :welcome: to the DIS!

We do the same thing. My daughter has watched all three Cinderella's atleast 4 times each the last few weeks. I'm trying to find Snow White for her but can't. We had a copy and lost it in Hurricane Katrina. DD(4) was only a baby then. I've tried renting it from local Blockbuster store and they don't have it. I tried Blockbuster online too. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I like to watch any Disney shows that come on the Travel channel. I also get on the boards more frequently.

Me too! We leave in 23 days and have changed our normal DVD movie night into more of a Disney movie night over the last few months. popcorn:: And it's 4 adults (all around the age of 30) that I'm talking about. Plus, I'm the Disney Geek of the bunch and it's good for the rest of the group to reacquaint themselves with Disney.

My DF makes fun of me because I search for all of the Disney shows on the Travel Channel and record them. :happytv: I do the happy dance when there's a new one that I haven't seen!

Of course, he's the one that had Aladdin and the Little Mermaid on his Christmas list.:lmao:

As soon as we came back from our 2006 trip I wrote down all the Disney DVD's we had and put them in a jar. Now twice a month we draw one out and have a movie night. It is just me and DH and we are in our 30's. I have a lot of them. In fact, starting next month we are going to move it to 3 nights a month and we are still a year out. I want to watch them all once before we go.

I didn't want to take my kids to Disney and have them say, "what's that?" or "Who's that" so I made a list of all of the attractions, etc. that they might encounter and we have watched the movies that they had not previously seen so they were ready! It never even dawned on me until we did this that my boys had NO idea who Tom Sawyer was yet (found out they will read it in 5th grade), had never seen Swiss Family Robinson OR Lady & the Tramp! Strangely enough, I personally have never seen Finding Nemo so it is on it's way from Netflix for me to watch this weekend.

As an aside, we went through a list of characters whose autographs they "might" be able to get and that helped add a couple of titles to our list as well. They had watched the Jungle Book when they were VERY small, but it had been awhile, and I told them the story of Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear so they are even more excited about Splash Mountain now.

Song of the South always does it for us. It makes Splash Mountain even more fun!!!:cool1: :cool1:

On top of the movies I have also been watching all my saved up Disney Travel shows from the Travel Channel. Actually seeing it all is really getting me excited.

I sorta do the same thing...but with music!
I've been listening to the stuff I have stockpiled on my ipod. Disney classics, music from the parades, and even Finding Nemo the Musical!

I HAD to buy Toy Story and show it to my boyfriend. There are way too many toy story related things in WDW. I was determined he had to watch it and love it as much as I do. And it was a success--He loved it!!

Oh my gosh. We watch all of the Disney Movie's month's before our trip. Our favorite thing to do is watch the DVD's of our own trips to DisneyWorld. We watch them every Sunday Morning, starting about 2 month's in advance. Matter of fact it's almost time to start watching. Kid's just got up.:cool1:

I didn't before I left... I spent literally every waking moment possible compulsively planning for the trip but we've been back for a little under a month now and I'm suddenly trying to buy as many Disney DVDs as I can...

We re just over 1 month out & i ve already started watching my Disney World dvds which i got from Ebay. They re great as it takes you on every ride, goes a round every resort, full rides on the monorial etc etc. Its sbout 10 dvds in total which means a lot of Disney viewing:thumbsup2 :woohoo: It shows everything & really gets me in a great Disney mood. Before watching those we watched Enchanted, week by week we re trying to get more & more in the Disney spirit.:dance3: :yay:  :cheer2: :rotfl:
WE CANT WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
