Thanks to the holiday surcharge, I just added the DDP to our January 2-6 trip. I am suffering from stucker shock right now, $2700 for four nights! I guess I need to just regroup, I'm used to having about $600 on my room from our stay, this time it'll be just a small amount, yippee! But all that $$$ right here at Christmas.......... Oh well, at least not a big chunk out of the paycheck in January, right? THis is value season guys, $2100 for standard YC room and three day base tickets for four (did get the code though). WOW, rack rate for YC was $325 a night during value!

I just did the same thing because of the holiday surcharge for our Jan 2-5 trip. We already had ADRs at Boma and CP and I didn't really want to pay extra for the same meal. I wasn't going to do DDP before...we don't usually get desert with our meals, and I figured the cost would be a wash...but now it saves a bit of money for us. BTW...I don't really understand this extra charge...but that is another topic.

I have a really dumb Question how much is the holiday surcharge and what are the dates it applies to? and if you have DDP do you have to pay the extra surcharge. Thanks

IF you go down to the third of fourth posting you'll find a message that gives the dates and prices. It applies only to the buffets (Breakfast, lunch and dinner), all you can eat like 'Ohana (breakfast and dinner) and probably to the dinner shows too. The only dates I remember off the top of my head because they affect me are Dec. 16-Jan5 and May 25(I think) through July 4 or 5.

No, if you have the DDP you do not pay the surcharge.
