Our very first trip was over spring break. We stayed a week at pop. It was super busy but with a plan and ropedrop we had a fabulous time.

We did spring break as it was the only week long vacation hubby and I had in common this year (I teach).

Well I've been super depressed about our vacay being over. I talked to hubby and jokingly said we should go again this summer. Well, guess what? He said we could swing a our day trip!

We wouldn't be able to spend the 7 grand extravaganza we did this past vacation (we splurged big!), but could manage a 3500 trip. We are a family of 5. Is this doable. I will not charge anything...we would have to fly which bites as last time air cost us 1800!! Driving isn't an option-too far.

What should we do?!

Stay off site, eat off property except for CS lunch and maybe a CS dinner. Skip the park hoppers and plan one park per day. No, it's not as convenient, and not as immersive, but you can still have just as much fun in the parks.

How many days for $3500? If it's one, then my answer is two out of the three words in your title, and not the other one.

Have you ever been in Florida in the summer?

I'd wait till spring break next year if I were you. But then I'm a wimp when it comes to miserable steaming hot weather. :goodvibes

In a word, no, I can see no way to do it on $3,500; if $1,800 is airfare.
Three day park tickets for 2 Adults and 3 Kids under nine is like $1,250.
So, I don't know how you could eat and have a roof over your heads for $450.
Now, if the $3,500 is after airfare, yeah...you could do it.
Hope you will be enjoying the magic again soon!

Four days. I priced it at 1500 for pop with four day tickets and 1500 right now is what flight is listing for. It would be mid June with the special promo. If we add QSDP it would be 1900 for room, tickets, and food

We are a family of 5 and our airfair this time around is also $1,800. HOWEVER there are better deals when flying outside of Spring Break and other peak times. If she got 1,800 over spring break I'm guessing she might be able to get $1k or $1,200 in an off time?

Then if one of her kids is under 3 maybe tickets are like $1k? So that would give her $1,500 to $1,700 for food and hotel. For 4 days I think that is totally doable.

I wouldn't do it in the summer. Too hot. Rains every day(not all day, but pretty much every day). Humid. Crowded. Uncomfortable.

Maybe look for a time when there is a 4 day weekend next year in the Fall or Jan./Feb. Room rates are relatively low and it's whole lot more comfortable and less crowded then.

Seems like its doable! Also you could give your kids Disney cards as gifts if they have a bday between now and then. Or if they earn allowance have them earn Disney spending money. That way its money you would have spent anyway and the kids can choose if they want the additional spending money while in Disney.

Thanksgiving IS a busy time and full price time too. Weather wise a good time to visit but expensive.

hey, if my husband said, or even thought about saying, we could go....I would have my bags packed in five minutes! I would find a way to make it work. maybe not do everything or a lot of extras, but I will take Disney anyway I can get it. things will fall into place, enjoy your trip.

Eta: my youngest son is two. I forgot to mention that
Okay, yep, if these are your numbers, it can be done with $100 to "spare".
It's all in the details....LOL

I personally think two Disney trips that close together is a bit much. After every vacation destination we want to go back right away but with time that fades some and we move onto other things. As much as I love Disney its only going to be every 2-4 vacations we go on and not every single one. For instance we went on a cruise and wanted to do it again so planned on booking another but after a few months decided on Disney world and wanted to go again right away but after a few months settled on Seattle and wanted to go right back but did a long weekend in Chicago and now want to do another weekend there instead of Seattle but after a few weeks we are back to planning a Disney trip this December as the Chicago desire is wearing off. Obviously if we kept doing the same thing over and over with no break we would never discover anything else we liked. So my opinion is to give it time and see other things and then decide if you want to do Disney again.

If you want to do it and can do it, then why not? Some of our best trips were not week long, but just a few dys planned on short notice.

Haha. I've already taken 2 trips this year and have 2 more in the works. Maybe a third. I live 12 hours away. To each his own. I say if you wanna go.......GO!
