And what about the 10 months between Xmas and the next Turkey Day? That logic would encourage constant visits - leaving at all? Something might happen!
The time, effort, and money involved for a mere 6 hours with the grandparents just doesn't seem worth it, since they can go for longer a few weeks later and be much more comfortable.
