We typically use them for all our trips. I don't know if I didn't notice before or am just more price driven now, but they are really expensive. Not the delivery charge per se, but per item.

Aside from shopping when we get down there, anyone have any order in advance sites more reasonable than GG?

I just went through the same thought process. I started looking into using Amazon Prime, but we are staying at a resort with a convention center and that increases the price. So, they were about the same and I couldn't get cold stuff. I also looked at ordering through DVC, but they were even more expensive.

I think there are a few others, Dizzy Dolphin and Wegoshop. But, I am not really sure.

In the end, I just ordered with Garden Grocer.

Wegoshop was fantastic for us-we had milk/meats/fresh produce all waiting at the resort when we arrived. You pay actual grocery cost plus a delivery fee based on what was spent(think ours was $25 with a purchase of $120). You can request what store to be shopped but there is no guarantee they will shop there. Our order was from Albertson's-even picked up a second of several items since it was BOGO. We were beyond happy.

Amazon Pantry is great for staples like water/gatorade/snacks, but does not offer the fresh options. I go that route for drinks on race weekends.

Thanks for the awesome responses. Question 2, for those who do their own shopping, what is the closest most reasonable market? I want to go to their website and compare to GG prices to see how much more I would actually be paying for GG.

I love the Publix on Vineland Avenue. It's just down the road from the Premium Outlet Mall. It's inly about a 10 minute drive from Disney Springs. We usually grab a car from Dollar at the Wyndham and then we are on our way!

There are Super Walmarts on 535(closer to DT Disney), and one at 27/192(closer to AKL). There is a Publix and Supertarget on 192 right off the Western bypass, again closer to AKL and the All Star resorts. The Vineland Publix is closer to the DTD resort areas. There are 2 Winn Dixie stores even closer, but we leave those out as the prices are just too high for what we buy for the room.

It really depends on where you are at on Disney property to direct you to the nearest place. There are Publix/SuperTarget/Walmart all within 10 minutes or so from the southern/eastern edges of Disney in different directions.

We always have alcohol and a few items delivered from Garden Grocer. If you order enough in advance you save 10%. As we use ME it is cheaper then renting a car for the day. Plus, I love arriving in the room, having the order delivered, and getting started on my vacation without having to waste time going to a grocery store. It is a vacation luxury that is worth every penny to me.

We just used Dizzy Dolphin for our stay at AoA. We will be using them again for our stay at AKL. Your send them your list and they send back a price quote within 48 hours. You can specify stores you would like them to buy from and sizes you want, not a generic order form. I was very happy with their service.
