I walked in on DS6 drawing at his desk. He had drawn Mickey Mouse with block letters spelling "I mis disney." I know exactly how he feels!!

Post Poly Depression has hit DS and I like a sack of bricks. We were doing really well and then BAM! I took a nap with DD today and had a dream we were back at the Poly and now it's worse than ever!

Our trip starts on November 4th but we don't actually get to Disney World until November 7th (spending time with family in Florida before Disney) and I'm so excited to see the Polynesian and Disney World in general again. It's been 2 years!

Got our Itinerary package and luggage tags in the mail today. Printed out our custom maps. SO EXCITED!

Dh and I will be at the Polynesian Nov 30th-Dec 3rd, and it's our first stay at the Poly. I am counting the days! Our stay was originally 3 nights, but Delta cancelled our returning flight so we are staying an extra night--sooooo sad!

Luckily I get to take a cruise on the Disney Wonder to the Mexican Riviera and go to Disneyland for 5 nights first so it makes it easier to wait! Once I get back it will be the 30 day mark!

Can't wait to come back to my Poly! I treated my family to TPV CL as a surprise! Then we are taking a Wishes Cruise from the Poly on arrival night as well as a private dinner party for Fantasmic! and a private dessert party for Illuminations! Hey... may never have that kind of money again so I had to splurge! But ssshhhh.... its all a surprise!

I've never been for Christmas. I can't seem to wait that long to go see Mickey.

I hear ya on it being hard to wait......but I will say that it is TOTALLY worth the wait . The parks and resorts are so beautifully decorated and MVMCP is awesome.......it's just such a different experience from other times of the year .

We have booked and canceled the Poly many times as it really doesn't appeal to my DH or I. But I have to say that this is the first time since booking the Poly that we haven't even questioned about staying there. My DH said last night that he is kind of exciting about staying there, enjoying the cabanas and the resort and I am too in a way. We are hoping to see what everyone else loves about the Poly.

I hope you have an awesome stay and love the Poly as much as we do .

We have had to cancel a few times since our trip two years ago for various reasons. While I am very excited it will not be until our plane lands safe at MCO that I will believe that we are finally back

I'm sorry you've had to cancel before . It's not fun cancelling, but when I already have another trip in the works, it makes it easier . We usually always book packages, so once that final payment is made and I'm under 45 days, that's when I get very excited .

We're back!!!!!! I don't know where to start....but between the rain, family that joined us and the issues with our room - I need another vacation!!!! At least my DH has stated that he will NEVER go on another short trip again. We just don't feel relaxed and feel like we missed so much. (We were there for 5 1/2 days.)

Anyway I have to get the kids off to school, but will be back later. However, just to warn those of you going....the heater on the volcano pool is still broken. Made for some chilly swimming, but when we wanted warmth we went to the quiet pool.

Our last day was beautiful and we opted to skip the parks and rent a cabana.....WONDERFUL! Anyway pictures to come later....

I just booked our family trip to the Poly at the end of Jan! I gave my DD the option of picking the resort and she said that she had so much fun on our first trip to WDW staying at the Poly 2 years ago that it was an easy choice for her. We are so excited!

mickeynut1 Oh I am mentally planning again. I'm working out all the alternatives in case my beloved Poly is closed down as well. I think it will be CR or BLT for us (typing that always makes me hungry! )

Did it-- thanks for the reminder. I hope everyone takes a moment to do this, as I believe adequate monorail service is a huge factor in justifying the price tag of a monorail resort.

Why was it a nightmare? Did you take a bus or the ferry back? My dad uses an ECV and I'm not looking forward to getting back to the Poly after MNSSHP. I guess I'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best

We had to take the bus because of the ECV. It was just my mom, the baby, and I so I had to juggle the baby and the stroller plus all of our bags. When we got to the bus line the bus had just finished loading and it was PACKED so we said we would just wait for the next bus (yes, they wanted to somehow out us on it) and we were now the only people in line, but the line quickly piled up and the next bus eventually came and now there were more ECVs lined up behind us. The bus driver had a difficult time loading them, the other guests made rude comments and stared even though we were there before them since we opted to wait. It took us much longer than it would have on the monorail and it was such a hassle having to deal with loading an ECV and stroller on and off the bus. I really resented the lack of monorail that night.

I got a TON done today including the Mom's Panel Round 2 questions and video which were STRESSING me out. But all done - yippee!!! So just some sleep, dentist appointments, and a gadzillion meetings because adults seem so desperate to have me do their work for them (heaven forbid I take a vacation and make them coordinate their own meeting ). Oh yeah, we have to pack while the kids are at school. Then we get them at 2 pm and somehow surprise them. DH and I are so tired that we don't even know what we will do. Oh well, they like it no matter how we deliver it to them. I'm not sure I can fit in my 5 mile run tomorrow but hey, it is technically a vacation day tomorrow. We can hear the cabana calling us....

We went to the party on October 6, and much to my surprise the resort monorail was open!! We hopped on with DS6 asleep in our luggage cart...um, I mean stroller, and hopped off at the Poly. Talk about a little bit of magic!! Maybe they're listening!!

That's totally awesome. I wish we could have had such luck. Perhaps they saw what a complete disaster it was to have extra buses running to the resorts and TTC instead of the monorail. My dad and DS took the boat after the second parade. They got off easy.

Hi gang! Our Poly trip is all planned, ADRs are in place and now all I have to do is wait until January. I'd love to read some good trip reports that include a lot of Poly info and pics. I've been to the trip reports board and having a hard time sorting through the reports. Even using the search feature doesn't help. Does anyone have links to some fun Poly reports?

When are you thinking of going back? I did some pricing for our March trip and the peak rates for the Poly are . I'm hoping when the AP rates are extended past 3/8 they will include some good rates for the Poly. We've never stayed at the CR......I'm kind of scared to try it since the decor is kind of blah to me. I think staying in the tower would be cool, but I'm afraid I'll regret it after checking in as I'm just not wow'd by the theme .

I believe adequate monorail service is a huge factor in justifying the price tag of a monorail resort.

According to Jillane, the Disney GS rep, she said that they have extended the monorail on party nights in part to all the complaints so they are listening.

We just need to keep reminding them why we chose to pay a premium to stay at a monorail resort
