I think I remember reading on Tikiman or his FB page a while back that every refurbished room, regardless of longhouse, will have double sinks once they're done. It's a vague memory though...I might be mis-remembering that...

I think you're right. Once the refurb is done, I believe all rooms will have 2 sinks :).

Here is a couple from room too!

These are of the lounge soon after remodel.

After seeing pics and reading so many great reviews recently of Poly CL, I am even more excited to try it in December :goodvibes.

We were just debating CL again for our next trip- this picture brings back all of the right memories! Thank you for your photos!

I posted some more on the club level thread too. If you have any questions I was at the Poly CL in April then again one night just 2 weeks ago. One was GV and the other was TPV.
The April trip was just me and dd for her 18th bday/last mom and me while she still MY girl and not off to college.
Then a last minute anniversary trip got mixed up due to FIL illness so we only got to stay at Poly for one night but we were upgraded from GV room to CL TPV so it was a short but AWESOME trip!

I was so glad to show DH all dd and I loved about the lounge. I like to take the choc chip cookies and put them in the small "oatmeal" cups with lids then carry in my purse for when a sugar hit is needed;), also I would request red wine in the afternoon and do half that mixed with half of the fruit/orange punch they leave out(tastes mango/papaya ish) with ice and take out to pool/beach. I would put fruit from breakfast in the "cups" for in my frig for afternoon snack. I would put wine in coffee cups with lids then go for a stroll or ride monorail :)
Ya I love my wine:rotfl2:

Wow. There is so much information everywhere! So it's down to these two choices. Poly GV, CL...(only for 3 nites...starting out at the POP for 4 nites) And the other choice is AKL standard CL or AKL savanna view. 3 nites...again starting out at Pop). I would love to do the sunrise safari...that is a pull. But everyone seems to really love, love, love the Poly. So torn. Is my choice for the Poly a good one? Booking today for July 5th thru the 12th, hoping for a whole lot of relaxation, only one day at a park (we've been to Disney a lot,but always Music and then POP when it opened) Just my hubby and myself this time. I want to book a little further out because his project at work has made me modify reservations 3 times so far!!! But he is in need of some relaxation! I know it's brutally hot in July, but is the pool water brutal as well...not refreshing?? Thanks for all your opinions...I'm going crazy. I have never booked this soon before a trip. :)

What I love about Poly is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!

With DD we did a lot of back and forth from Mk to resort because she loves her Space Mtn fix from early morning until late at night and very easy to do from Poly.

However DH and I just did our first Disney without kids or tickets. We were at CR one night then to visit a sick relative then back to Poly for our last night of our long anniversary weekend.

The resort has lots of food options plus access to GF, CR and WL via boats or monorail.
The location allows for more shopping options too.

I took my DH for a bar hop one night and what fun! Tambu Lounge is always one of my favorite spots and now I can add GF's Mizners lounge to my Disney must do list. The outer rim at CR is convenient and The Wave has a blue bar but I still have not seen it(next time!)

It is nice to "lounge" in the lounge, stroll on the beach, go shopping, take a boat ride and repeat.

Did I mention you can see and hear MK from this location!!!!! I was up early on check out day just listening to MK wake up. The sounds are wonderful. I could even hear Haunted Mansion!!!(made me miss dd)

Dole Whip, Tiki lights, Aloha's from everyone.

The remodeled rooms are a bonus too. Fresh rooms and lounge :cool1:

My list why I love this resort is endless :goodvibes

I suggest having lunch and exploring at AKL if you really want to see it, but stay at Poly!

PS I love POP too! Sounds like a great vacation.

Thankyou Trishadono...Should I stay with the GV CL at Poly since it's just hubby and I? Or is the Standard okay...I'm kind of leaning towards the GV CL..(you only live once!!). ;)

Is the CL only in one building? Should I make requests for a certain room area? So many questions, so little time to get this done today...not to mention switching our flights yet again!!

CL is all in one building which is nice. The Poly standard view is the Garden View (GV) Otherwise you could do Lake View(LV) or Theme Park View(TPV) I think you would be fine in the GV room. From all the pictures I have seen, the view is really nice. Hope this help. Have a wonderful trip and post some pictures when you get back. We are not going til September, so I love to see and hear all about the Club and the food and beverage offerings.:woohoo:

Thanks for that info! I am still wondering whether or not the pool is refreshing in all that heat and humidity...Anyone? I'm kind of worried that it is just as warm as the air feels....

I've had different experiences - in 2009 we were at the Fort Wilderness Cabins in August, and the water was hot and not at all refreshing. I was very disappointed as I loved everything else about that resort - I don't think we'd go again in the summer though.

In 2010 and 2011 (August and Sept), we were at the Poly and I didn't find the water to be too warm at all. It certainly wasn't cold, but it was still refreshing. I wondered if it had to do with the fact that the waterfall and slide were running water - maybe that keeps it cool if they're adding fresh water?

So I've been stewing on this GF reservation I've had since Feb.-- the great Magical Vacations deal-- can't beat the price, that's for sure, and the GF is terrific, but my heart... my heart is at the Poly, as it has been since 1978. Long story short, I split my stay, and am doing 5 days GF, 5 Poly and I couldn't be more psyched! Stewing over. Ticker changed. Grateful for being able to do any/all of it! Just had to share! :goodvibes

Thanks Jdd.....I am just about ready to book. The catching point is the Theme park view. I am definitely doing that, but thinking that if I do CL also...letting go of CL and keeping TPV would give me another night at the Poly. Mmmm...how much do we want the CL benefits? Oh the dilemmas! Nice dilemma though. Thoughts?

Thanks so much for all of the CL room and lounge pics! :sunny:

You are welcome to all that thanked me for picture posting.

Glad I finally figured out how to do it. :thumbsup2

I don't currently have a trip planned and am suffering from "no countdownitis"

Luckily the cure can be to book a trip OR live off the wonderful memories from your previous trips. So posting my past trips is helping me through this rough patch. ;)

We just upgraded to the Poly for our short trip next week! So excited to be returning to my favorite resort. We chose a standard room...which bldgs have that as an option? Not sure I will go through the trouble of requesting anything, but I would like to know what some of the possibilities are. Ironically, we will only be going to Epcot, so would like to be close to TTC.

Thanks!
