Does the pool bar at the main pool sell food?

Sorry for all of the questions.....it's our first stay at the Poly and I'm very excited. :goodvibes

Very limited food service at the pool bar and it depends on when you are going. With the primary pool out of service until April (if the reports can be trusted), the quiet pool has no food service unless you order room service to the pool.

Even if the primary pool is open when you visit, you will not have much of a food option there---chips, etc.. Your best bet is to go to Captain Cook's for take out and carry it to the pool. It really isn't that big of a hassle. The Barefoot Bar is just that--a drinks service.

Just want to clarify the movie location. We are staying at WL, due to pool construction, next month. I am wondering if the movie is still on the beach with fireworks view. I don't want to drag the family over is it is a less than usual set up. Movie on the beach has been a special tradition for us.

Sorry, I don't know. I was just quoting from the printed information that I brought home with me.

Do any of the standard view rooms have two sinks? We have stayed in Tahiti, Hawaii, and Fiji in the past. I know Tahiti had 2 sinks, but it is DVC now.

Thank you!:goodvibes

I know the CMS have been much more diligent about non-Poly guests watching the fireworks from the beach, so that might not work for you if you're a guest at WL. Just something to keep in mind as you're planning.

209 days until our trip to Poly....seems like forever!!!:crazy2:

There have been so many posts since I last visited here. Think I have to go back 50 pages just to catch up! That's OK though. I love all the info I get. Makes my planning easier! Plus, everyone is so nice on this thread! Poly peeps are awesome!:thumbsup2

We are wondering about the security in a first floor room with a patio. How secure is the room? What kind of locks does the patio door have?
TIA

Two locks - one up high and out of reach of little ones and one lower down. We just stayed in a ground floor room earlier this month and thought it was fabulous - even with our youngest who is a bit of a runner/escape artist. Only issue was the lizard guest who entered our room (quickly, too, because we were all vigilant about keeping the door closed.) But as I said earlier, our boys loved catching that lizard and returning him to his outside home.

We are headed back to Poly in late October of this year and am considering CL GV thanks to the magical offer we heard about on these boards.

My question, what room(s) or locations should we request? I know the 3rd floor has balconies, first has patios and the lounge is on second. Other than that, I am clueless. The CL GV is our only option...not willing to pay for TPV, but have heard so much about how you all enjoy CL. I think this will be perfect for us as we want a nice, relaxing vacation as we don't do Disney every year. I have heard Tikiman has some favorite rooms as well...however, I can't find what those are and maybe they are the lagoon side anyway. Any advice is appreciated!

You're right, Tikiman's favorite rooms are on the lagoon side with the favorite being 1505, I think, but that view is now obstructed by the bungalows. GV is peaceful and the views of the quiet pool are nice. Personally, we always enjoyed the third floor GV if we weren't staying LV. Second floor has no balcony, only a slider that opens and first floor have patios. First floor is nice, but third is more private and provides a better view of the quiet pool area. I would avoid the east end--closest to the elevator only because the foliage obscures the view. Midway down the third floor hall was always our favorite.

Enjoy your CL stay--we always did. :thumbsup2

Me and my sister are headed for a weeklong stay at Poly on July 25! We've been wanting to stay here forever, and we've saved up for years so we can celebrate our birthday this year at our dream resort! We're so excited, we seem more like ten year olds than adults.

Just a few questions though, if I want to request rooms that are right across from the pool, which building would I request? Me and my sister plan on taking long pool breaks in the afternoon and would love a room on the first floor right by the pool to walk out and enjoy. Also, with the new bungalows out over the water, does it pretty much ruin watching Wishes from the beach? It's something we've always wanted to do and now that we'll be able to do it, it we're a little bummed it might not be all that great of a view.

Is the breakfast with Stitch still a thing that happens after all the remodeling? Stitch is our favorite character, and we'd love to have a meal with him!

And last question, promise! Would it be better to get the dining plan (1 qs & 1 ts meal a day) or pay for club level and just head back and munch on things there and supplement shared meals as needed?

I would rather pay for CL than the meal plan. We had breakfast every morning and stopped by for the cocktail hour each night. Many times, we just got a snack afterwards. On the nights we had dinner booked, we felt like it was too much food.

We went for dessert a couple of nights, but we felt that it was worth missing, unless you want to view the fireworks.

We really liked stopping by the lounge when we were ready instead of having to adhere to ADRs. It was very relaxing!

Has anyone seen an iphone 6 poly phone case in the gift shop?

Thanks!
There were about 8 choices at each of the hotel shops and at the parks. I did not find one as much as I loved by Dooney and Bourke one so I am still waiting. There are some on disneystore.com too.

That was last week by the way.

tikimanpages.com has more great info for you.

I could see the fireworks from the beach in November. Remember too that there is a second beach in between poly and gf. It is always quiet there and fun to explore.

The planning is half the fun, hope you girls have a great tripprincess:

Didn't see this question addressed for you yet, so thought I would answer! :) Yes, breakfast at 'Ohana still features Lilo and Stitch (though character appearances are always subject to change).

Hi everyone! I have read through all of the great information on the first pages of this thread and saw that each room has a coffee maker....are these keurigs? We stayed at GF and had a keurig in our room so I wanted to check and see if Poly was the same? Thanks so much! :)

Are there microwaves in the room?

I like eggs for breakfast and real eggs. I was thinking I could make hard boiled eggs in a microwave. If not maybe I can rig something up with the coffee machine???

The rest of my family really doesn't eat right when they wake up. I will buy a few things from GG like eggs (if I can make them in my room), cereal, milk, water, juice, fruit, bread, PB.
