Poly pals....

So we are now booked for October 2015! Poly CL garden view! I am super excited to come back to the Poly post refurbishment! We have done CL at other resorts but not Poly (we have stayed here and visit every trip for meals), so that is making this trip extra special! This is likely our last big trip before my oldest son graduates form high school so it's extra special to us, especially me! We will still go of course after he graduates, but who knows when and how with his college schedule being different then the kids school schedule. I love October at WDW, perfect weather.

Congrats!!! And a CL stay..how very special....Having children in the latter stages of education and ready to leave the nest... ... I totally understand...I'm sure you will savor every minute...It does get harder as everyone schedules change...What better place to enjoy the family than WDW... Have a wonderful trip!

Nothing concrete yet, but I do have alot of plans running through my mind . My SIL knows what a Disney nut I am and has already said she expects me to do all of the planning . I'm up for doing everything except FPP. We never plan our park days ahead of time as that is usually decided the morning of, so FPP will definitely be a challenge for me, especially if it involves 15 people . .

Have you all seen the new Poly sign? I love that they incorporated a water feature into it.

Tikiman has it posted on his facebook page.

I am getting so excited for our trip next month - our first time at WDW and (obviously) first time at Poly!

As I look at the map of Poly though, I'm still wondering where the beach is where we can watch the electrical water parade during construction. Anyone know which longhouse it is by?

There still is some beach area directly in front of Hawaii. You should be able to access it on either end of Hawaii. The is a cute pathway that runs right next to Hawaii on the left side of the building(volcano pool end).

Things have been a little busy here so not much time for Disney planning, but hopefully soon .

How fast do you walk? I know we have made the walk many times and it is less than 5 mins, but we may walk faster than you. I can't imagine anyone could walk leisurely and it would take more than 10 mins.

Woo hoo! Great to see you and MrsB are heading back to the World! With all the construction we booked our October trip at GF, but with just over 30 days to go I'm starting to regret not sticking with the Poly. We do plan on dropping over for a visit though ...

BTW, there was some talk about a month ago about maybe updating the tread since it's almost 2 years old (not as much action as normal I think because of the construction). I had said since I'm supposed to be taking on the next thread that maybe once some of the new stuff was being completed I could start working on it. I don't want to just take over though, since this thread is currently your baby. What do you think?

According to Tikiman's pages, the main pool "should" be done but the quiet pool remains questionable.

If you don't follow tikiman on his website or Facebook page I would highly recommend it. He knows everything poly and has insider info, on Facebook he has shown construction photos daily even what the lobby currently looks like behind the walls.
