Was Hawaii the only affected building at the Poly?
Just wanted to let you guys know I spoke with the guest services manager at the Poly and ALL refrigerators in the Hawaii building have been replaced! So no worries!!!!

Someone in a thread on another forum said the quiet pool was closed. Is that true?!
Anyone staying at the Poly March 2014? We just booked the 3-7. I am really hoping there is not too much intrusion of construction for my brother to enjoy his first stay there.
We'll be there March 1-8! I'm hoping the construction isn't bad as well. This will be our 5th stay, but my sister and husband's 1st stay there (though they've spent plenty of time there with us on our last 2 trips). And likely my Mom's first stay as well (she's about 90% sure she's flying down for a few days) Tikiman's most recent update has me nervous, because we always stay in Tokelau. Tahiti is right there and if there's tons of construction....plus the GCH. We haven't booked yet. We're having a Disney get-together/BBQ this Sunday (our entire travel group also includes my BIL, SIL, nephew and other, single BIL - they are currently booked in a 1 BR villa at Bay Lake), so we might book then.
We're going to go ahead and book the Poly, but if the construction seems like it will be intrusive, we may end up switching. The problem is, WHERE? Our family has only ever stayed at the Poly, we fell in love with it in 2007. We love the atmosphere and the convenience of the monorail to both the MK and Epcot. Can't imagine not having that. CR Garden Wing seems nice, but no rooms available right now. I just don't know. Honestly, we'll probably be at the Poly regardless of construction as I don't think we'd be as happy anywhere else!
Hey CT Disney- I'm in Ct too! I know New England weather is always unpredictable...BUT THIS IS C-R-A-Z-Y!!!! Hope your stay at the Poly is Magical!!
I grew up in CT!
Also, I wanted to comment on the frogg togg pouches. We bought two and brought them and they are great! Light and breathable and dry pretty quickly. The disney ponchos are oat, but we liked these much better.
I think Tuvalu is the one closed for rehab now. As far as fridges the Hawaii buildings fridges have all been replaced, not sure about the rest.We will be arriving very soon and I was wondering what longhouse is currently closed for the update and what one(s) still need to be updated. Thanks!
Also, does anyone know the status of the refrigerator replacement and how that's going?

I seriously never even thought of poncho's for the trip and I should have with the massive amounts of rain we are getting down here this year. It rained so hard this afternoon that the parking lot of our grocery store flooded out to the point that cars were stalling. That normally doesn't happen where I live in South Florida but we have had so much rain. It didn't rain that long today but it was a torrential rain. Poor DH looked like a drowned rat when he came in from work tonight just trying to get from our lot to our apartment.

CT Disney said:I just bought Frogg Togg adult-sized ponchos at wal-mart yesterday! They seem sturdy but I will say one thing...they are HUGE. I was swimming in it. My DH who is over 6 feet was the only one who looked comfortable in it. I didn't see that they made any youth-sized ones. They cost $9.88.
I did also end up buying some Coleman ponchos for the kids. They didn't seem as durable but they were far more reasonably sized. I got the youth one for my DS10 and the adult one for my DD13. They were only $6.50 at wal-mart.
I will say that wal-mart was just about wiped out of ponchos. We had to go to two wal-marts just to find 4 ponchos. I think everyone going to WDW has the same idea!
