Awesome! I bet you never expected that call. I was flipping out when I saw the availability.

Have you stayed CL before? I contemplated booking us for CL but decided to go with the deluxe dining plan instead. The cost to upgrade was the same from going from the regular dining plan to deluxe dining. I am back and forth about it, but with just the dinners we have booked I think it's better for us to go standard view with deluxe dining. It's so hard to figure it all out. I'd love CL though.

We are CL obsessed!!! ;) The kids are the worst of us all though, they think if they can't have CL they'd rather stay home. LOL :)

I'm thinking tomorrow we will all wake up and this was all just a dream :) or their computer system had a glitch (imagine that) and when we go to check in at the podium, there will be hundreds of other people with the same ADR time slot as us checking in!!!!

I thought of that too! I was looking again just now and there are tons of openings. Maybe they originally only booked 2 dining rooms and decided to open up the third??? I know when we were there in January the music box room was roped off and closed.

Hmm I'm wondering if I should take the 945 in September and try to get in around 6?

Well, like I said, I don't want to give false hope, but I just wanted people to know that it does happen and is possible. Our night that we got lucky was on July 3, so it was very busy with all the people coming to Poly to watch Wishes. I think we just got lucky that someone was very late or cancelled last minute.

I just wanted to make a quick comment that we have done the DxDDP before while staying at Poly in just a standard room (non-CL). Poly was the perfect place to stay for the DxDDP because we could easily get places due to the TTC being right there. It was one of our best trips ever because we got to try a lot of 2-credit restaurants and also saw 2 shows. When we stay CL, we rarely eat dinners out, so it's a totally different kind of trip for us. I think you'll have a great time doing the DxDDP this trip and then maybe next trip try CL...?!

what the what?? I just checked 7/25 and there are several dinner openings. Then checked 7/21 since we don't have dinner plans are in the MK that evening...there are, again, several!

What's going on?? I might snag the early one and ask DH and the kids if they even want to eat there later :rotfl:

Is the food supposed to be ok? I haven't even read too many reviews of dinner because I could never get a reservation!

We've eaten there twice for dinner and it was great! :)

If you can go on a day in July there are a bunch available. I called and got 6:45 on 7/26. The server kept telling me it was busy so I called and got the ADR!!! I am over the moon! :rotfl::cool1::lmao::goodvibes:rotfl2::banana:

Wow! Thanks for the heads-up!

I was able to change our 9:05pm BOG on 7/30 to 6:15pm!

Yeah, Ohana still only has 9:50pm ADRs for Aug 3. I will keep trying.

I've been checking our Ohana times too. Currently we have 8:30 and I'd like something closer to 7:30. We've had many meals there with the kids fast asleep. LOL

If you haven't heard yet, this just came out:

Refrigerator Removal from Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and Aulani Guest Rooms

Due to a possible defect in the refrigerators in some of the Guest rooms at the Walt Disney World® and Disneyland® Resorts, as well as Aulani Resort hotels at these locations have removed or temporarily disconnected Guest room refrigerators until the issue can be resolved.

Guests staying at these Resort hotels will be notified of the refrigerator removal via a letter in their room. Currently the schedule for replacing the refrigerators at these Resorts is expected to last several months.

This applies to all resorts with the mini fridge. In my opinion, It is not a refrigerator defect, it is an engineering defect. They put the mini fridges in an enclosed space with no airflow, so they overheat. All they need to do is modify the door on the cabinets (vent slots, a mesh, etc for airflow while the door is closed.) Instead of turning off the fridge in all rooms, just remove the doors for the modifications. Then the clients still have a working fridge while they correct their engineering mistake.

I am wondering if I should cancel or modify my Garden Grocer order, since they are saying it could take 4 months for the replacements to be complete.

BigTex71: I just read the same thing............and like you and wondering if I should just cancel my Garden Grocer. We are flying and using DME, so no grocery stop for a cheap cooler.

Not sure what to do now.

I am going to plan that there will not be a fridge. I've got a small soft-sided cooler I can pack ... I've got to keep cold water at a minimum. Luckily we are booked in CL, so that takes care of drinks until 10:00 PM, but we are the type of people who commonly come back to our room well after midnight so we'll need some water for sure.

Something tells me the Ice MAchines will be doing overtime!!!!!!!!

I feel bad for the thousands of people who will have no idea this is happening. Especially people who are flying in and taking ME with no way to go to a store. Disney is going to have a lot of unhappy people on their hands.

We walked to the Hess station from the BWI one time to buy a cheap styrofoam cooler. They better stock up over there!

Hope the Poly is done by November, I have insulin to keep cool.

Instead of putting letter in the rooms they need to send them in the mail!!!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & CR Sept 8-15, 2013

This is not good. We re going next week and have medications that have to be refrigerated.

There are a limited amount of fridges on request, so I would get in touch with them and tell them ASAP that you need one for next week! :)

Supposedly POR will have all their fridges replaced by July 31st! Has anyone rang the Poly to ask directly?

I'm trying to stay optimistic but I can't ever seem to get a straight answer from anyone at Poly IPO about anything. I've been going round and round with them for a month over ME. Ugh. :faint:
