This is a blue Hawaiian

1 ounce Smirnoff® Orange Vodka

1 ounce blue curacao liqueur

2 ounces orange juice

1 ounce pineapple juice

1 slice orange

The Backscratcher and this is the actual Ohana Tambu Lounge recipe.

Tropical drink made with light and dark rum,
passion fruit juice
and finished with Jack Daniels

The blue Hawaiian is a sweet drink with an edge. The Backscratcher has a little bit more of an edge to it.

A blue Hawaiian can also be made this way

1 fluid ounce light rum

1 fluid ounce blue Curacao liqueur

2 fluid ounces pineapple juice

1 fluid ounce cream of coconut

1 cup crushed ice

1 pineapple slice

1 maraschino cherry

Or this way:

rum,
pineapple juice,
blue Curaçao,
sweet and sour mix,

If I remember rightly the one at the Poly is made with rum and not vodka and is the one without the coconut in it.

WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!! Just made my reservation for the Poly in December!! What was cool was they only collected 44.00 over what I had previously paid for POFQ and not the difference between the first night at one hotel as opposed to the other. I am so happy. I gave dh a few choices this morning like staying with the reservation at POFQ and changing the dates, two rooms at Pop Century, a suite at Art of Animation, or staying standard at the Poly. Without even a pause he said the Poly. I was worried he was going to go for one of the others LOL. Now I have something to look forward to and to plan for. We are staying standard view and not club level but I am just as happy because I will be at the Poly.

The floater is Jack Daniel's Honey

Hidden Mickeys at the Poly...

I read somewhere that several resorts will give you a clue sheet for finding hidden Mickeys around the resort - you just have to ask at the front desk. I also read that sometimes, if you can find all of them, you can turn in your sheet for a small prize. My kids would love trying! Anybody know if the Poly does this?

I am not sure if they do. I know they did when we stayed at AKL and boy were they ever fun to try and find LOL. I have to call the Poly to ask if they found ds's hat and I will ask when I call.

Lordy trying to give a cat liquid medication is like trying to brush an alligators teeth. I look a little like Swiss Cheese right now.

I was able to pick my FP+ this morning for our Poly stay 9/8-9/15! I figure MB customizing must not be far behind.. Most ppl said they picked FP+ & next day could customize & order bands.. I'm really really on the fence I don't want to take a chance on something that can screw up our trip..

How did you find out you could do your FP+?

I read one of the posts on theme park board and went & checked & sure enough! I made mine for all of my trip..

Where did you check to see if you could do it? I am really interested in doing this for our December trip and wanted to know where to look should they not tell me where to look for it.

Don't call the Polynesian listed number. It won't get you the resort.

If you think you left something at the resort call 407-824-2192

Thank you so much Steve. I just called and they did have his hat and they are sending it to us in the morning!! My ds is so happy because he really liked that hat.

Hey guys I was wondering with the rehab to the guest rooms, can anyone tell me if the bathrooms have full size hair dryers or those wall mounted hair dryers? I'm trying to decide if I need to pack my own or not, if they have regular ones then I can leave mine home but I cannot use those wall mounted ones. Thanks!

The ones I saw in club level were in the closet in a black bag and looked to be regular size.

I spoke with the Poly and yes they do have a hidden Mickey sheet. They said to just ask about it at the front desk. Downtown Disney does it also as does each resort.

Wanna be Ariel I spoke with Ian who works with the Concierge management about the crib. I reconfirmed that they do have full sized cribs. I again made sure they noted it on your ressie. He said there are not a lot of them so make sure you ask for one as soon as you check in. I would also suggest calling IPO the night before you get there and asking them to put one in your room. I stressed the importance of a full sized crib and not a pack and play. Ian could not have been nicer and said it was no bother at all for him to reconfirm the note was on your ressie. Gotta love the Poly and their wonderful, caring, sweet, kind staff.

We just stayed non club level - Tokelau- and our room also had a regular full size hair dryer in a black cloth bag that was located on top of the safe.

Thank you so so so much for checking on this for me. We get in the night before and are staying at the Hyatt so I will call when we land or send an email first thing before we leave. Plus I plan on checking in around 8:30 that morning. Thank you again so very much and I am glad you had a wonderful trip :)

Okay I downloaded some of my pictures to photobucket. How do I link them to here so you all can see them?
